Wow! This little thing is LOUD! For our purposes (as a reminder to keep the gate closed) it works great. Of course it "screams" as you as you open the gate, but that's a great way to make you close it in a hurry. It appears to be very sturdy, but I do not know how truly weatherproof this is (ie: exposure to rain and snow) but my husband mounted it in a protective rain-shield that he 3-D printed. It was easy enough to install and the magnetic part we used the screw holes to mount it rather than only the sticky part.

Setting up this alarm was incredibly simple; it took just a couple of minutes without needing any tools. The sound is impressively loud, serving as a strong deterrent, and having four adjustable volume levels is a useful feature. I appreciate the different modes – chime, alarm, and panic – all easily controlled via the small included remote. Its IP66 rating makes it versatile for use outside on things like a pool gate or shed, as well as on indoor doors or windows. The magnetic sensors are quite forgiving with positioning. However, I found the included adhesive stickers lose effectiveness if you need to reposition the unit, and placement can be tricky on metal surfaces or where a specific orientation is required, like inside a gun safe. The remote range is good, but the buttons are quite sensitive and can be accidentally pressed. Considering its $19.99 price point, it offers good value for straightforward, loud monitoring.This alarm provides easy-to-install and loud alerts for diverse security and safety needs.

This alarm is made well and VERY loud. The remote works well and controls all the functions except volume adjustment. To adjust the volume, you push the button on the side of the unit. There are 4 different volume levels which make it more versatile for those that don't need the default ear shattering volume. It works well on door frames that aren't level or lined perfectly. I put Velcro on the back of the main unit and the actuator magnet so I could move it around without losing the effectiveness of the adhesive. It comes with batteries preinstalled in the unit and the remote. There are many ways this little alarm can be used and as an intruder deterrent it definitely does the job.

Installed this on our iron pool fence and it works perfectly. Setup was super easy - no complicated wiring or tools needed. The alarm is loud enough to hear from inside the house, which is exactly what you want for pool safety. The remote control makes it simple to turn on and off without walking over to the fence every time. Been using it for a couple weeks now and it's held up well outdoors. For the price, this is a solid choice if you need a reliable way to know when your pool gate opens. Would definitely recommend for anyone with kids around water.

I have some silly sensor on my front door right now, not gonna explain :DThis thing, it's loud. If it doesn't scare away an intruder, not much will.I just sat here playing with it a bit and it works well. It registers well. There's a good bit of play in the sensor range so if like my door, yours is not flush (fancy trim or such) for sensors like this, it'll still work fine. Eyeballing it, it gives a warning flash at about 1 and a half inches apart and doesn't start going off until around 1.5 to 2. That may be bad for high-security circumstances but for the average homeowner especially with imperfect doors or windows, it's actually ideal.I'm swapping this out today.It really is "killer" sound-wise. It's simply loud. It'll scare people away. The remote gives you the ability to enable/disable it so you don't have to be annoyed by it if you don't want. On top, there's an alarm button. There's this little lightening looking button that seems to be an even more annoying version of the alarm.I know one thing, next time some random alchy thinks our front steps are a park bench, I'ma get a good laugh watching them jump up from this thing shrieking. That's actually why we get these. We've an odd setup here, stray people around and now and then even someone just randomly tries to walk in... Can't possibly have enough locks, cameras and alarms here.Anyway, this surprised me. I put off checking it out because I thought "ah just another cheap" ... No, that's not the case.Maybe there could be better mounting gear but, I'm willing to figure something out.BTW folks, this would work just as well as a personal alarm if you walk at night or such. Random thought.

This little thing is so loud! The instructions were very detailed and easy to follow, but I ended up not installing it because it would be an office doorbell, but the beep is so obnoxiously loud that I decided not to. For its intended purpose as an outdoor doorbell, it will suffice as both an alarm and a doorbell.

Sticky pads are decent but the kind that once you place it and have to move it or reposition it a few times they lose stickiness. overall it is extremely loud! definitely a deterrent. easy to arm and disarm. comes with a tiny key fob device. very accurate and stable placement. can be placed an inch or so away. 4 volume modes. easy to read instructions. semi-discreet look. its compact and light weight but well made. seems sturdy. haven't been able to test it long term yet but will update if and when it stops working or malfunctioning and why. if it is really as waterproof and dustproof. all in all its a good simple device that can be place on a flat surface where one side opens or moves away from the other stationary surface. or to lock a cabinet door. cannot be used in a gun safe as well due to orientation of device and door. also metal blocks the magnetic detection even when precisely align. do not cover or block this object. no batteries needed all internal.
