The Whole House Water Softener has been installed for 3 weeks inside a Pentair Big Blue which I already reviewed. I had a very expensive salt walter softener that I wanted to remove as the company who sold it didn’t want to teach me how to use without charging me. I decided I was done with getting the salt and the wasted water so I decided to purchase this company’s product. I tested my water before and after installing and it’s now, truly soft. I want to say thank you to this vendor/seller as he answered multiple questions even before purchase. I don’t know how long it will last but it is a 20x4.5 so should be quite some time as seller informed me that it can be recharged when depleted. Before purchase I did reach out to a local company but I didn’t want to rent one for $65 for life. I am providing pictures and I know one of the filters is supposed to be before but will not change due to how hard it was to stop a water leak when first installed. Good luck to any who purchase this item and don’t return if the media comes out as it is rechargeable so you can just place back and lock again.

Just installed this 3-stage filter assembly. Unfortunately I am getting a large amount of pressure drop from the third filter. Running 80 psi from my prv and only getting 40psi through the iron and fluoride filter with only one shower running. Going to replace this fluoride filter and hope the other two filters hold up.

I've tried this filter for a little while now and I've not noticed any degradation in my water quality. While I can't comment on what lab-grade results would be, it fit right into my existing filtering system and the filter media/quality also looks good (surprisingly weighty). I liked that the gaskets were already in there and they were of similar quality to the OEM one coming out. Can't really find any complaints.

Our well water is very high in Iron, and has higher than optimal levels of Fluoride and Manganese. I added this filter and all the levels are noticeably reduced (according to the test strips I used). I have a particle filter before this filter. I did not see any reduction in pressure or maximum flow. So far, I’m impressed. I’ll be adding this filter to our pre-RO filter set.I see this a s a good value, and will keep one in the system moving forward.

We installed this filter into our APEC Water Systems 3-Stage Whole House Water Filter System with Sediment, KDF and Carbon Filters (CB3-SED-KDF-CAB20-BB). I included that information because it's the first time I've replaced the filters and I wasn't sure what I was looking for. From what I gathered, I needed a sediment filter first to get out all the large particles. The second and third filter could be pretty much any kind and some of them will also take out the smaller particles as well as chlorine, sand, lead, cyst, limescale, rust, etc., plus make the water taste better. There was no difference in taste from the previous filters that came with the APEC system, the water clarity is perfectly clear, and I think these are better value for the money, but only time will tell. Good quality and a good price.

It works. I had a 3 filter system already that had an anti scale filter in it, but it only treated the water, it didn't make the water softer. This new one actual does. I went from 10 grains to 1 grain of hardness after install this filter. I know it can also be recharged with salt after the resin gets used up. My next question is how long will it last. Normally I can make it about a 10 months to a year with pre-filter and carbon filter.I plan to do regular hardness test and to see how long the resin last before needing a charge. I have this connected to a whole house filter, so my guess isn't very long but here is hoping. I'll update the review later with my results.***Update***: I lowered the rating because the resin stopped working after 2.5 weeks. Already back up to 8 grains hardness. Might be for you if you have really low water usage and only had moderate hard water. Nothing against this manufacturer though, its just chemistry. The quality of the unit and everything was great.

I got this fluoride/iron filter to go in my PurePlus water filtration system. It fit perfectly, and filters good, without dropping my water pressure. The tap water is now of a higher quality, after filtering out the fluoride.I highly recommend this affordable fluoride filter.
