both receivers are worthless, transmitter works great.

I got this to decode signal from an rf remote and then send it out for automation purposes. Receiver (no antennas attached) is not great but it worked when the remote was right up to it. Transmitter works great.

The transmitter seems to work fine, but the receiver really doesn't work at all. It is not clear why, but it always required some jiggling and fiddling for it ever to receive a simple test signal.

This item required me to tune it in order for it to work. TX pin 12 on the nano and RX pin 11 on nano. I also couldn't get it to work unless I soldered on an antenna on each module.

Followed numerous tutorials for modules just like these (some for the exact same ones) and could never get them to work. The receiver is very finicky and picks up a lot of noise which I wasn't able to adjust even after playing with the tuning pot. Also components come without antennae and the transmitter is missing a coil.Perhaps someone smarter than I can get these to work, but I simply couldn't.

Had to order 2 of these, because the first one never arrived. The second one was DOA. The receiver board is missing SMCs and the 2 Ohm resistor shown in the picture is missing as well. There are solder splatters all over the board that look like they are shorting out several components. I have now lost a week's worth of work on my project because of this zero-quality-control garbage!!! Why does Amazon allow them to get away with selling this crap? I really hope this piece of junk didn't damage my new Raspberry Pi 4!!!

So far so good! They communicate pretty effectively at a decent distance. Only issue I had was with getting the right frequency for the receiver. It wasn't calibrated at the factory. To those that are struggling: hook the pair up to some Arduinos and have one constantly transmit a signal, on the receiving end, just continually scan for that signal and slowly turn the frequency knob until you pick it up. Best wishes! Stay creative.

Bought Hiletgo RF modules to do some tinkering with my Pi - they work exactly as described.
