Use this when we put in some new light switches the tool was accurate. Even though we had turned the power off for that connection, we use the tool and it showed the one of the wires was still live. So at that point, we went and turned off the breakers to the whole house. Then we tested it again and it was off.

I use the induction tester on a daily basis along with my volt meter. I prefer the Ideal tester over Klein and the other lesser brands. Fluke is too much money by comparison.

Works well, time will tell how durable it is as it doesn't feel robust as my previous voltage detector. On the flip side being light weight makes it less likely to fall out when clipped tona shirt pocket.
