I installed this on my 1950 MGTD that was built without a recovery tank. It is perfect size to be mounted under the hood and looks like it is a stock installation. I'm very happy with it because it did cure my overheat / overflow problem here in So Cal where the temp can reach the low 100's during the summer months. Now I can drive in parades without overheating.
