Uitstekende sensor voor het geld. Wel variabele uitvoeringen en versies, soms zitten er wat mindere componenten bij (data loss hoger maar nog steeds acceptabel soms bij oude connectoren), meestal goed. Relatief jong bedrijf dat in documentatie steeds beter wordt.

Our R&D team purchased the HWT905-TTL inclinometer for its magnetic compass capability in mid-2022. We have found it to be accurate & reliable, with a robust construction and compact form factor. WitMotion claim that the magnetometer heading estimates are tilt-compensated, which is helpful (although I haven't physically verified this claim myself yet). Their customer support is really good too -- their response time to my queries is usually pretty quick, and they don't stop until the problem is solved.The magnetometer calibration process is quick & easy using WitMotion's software (Windows only), which includes links to training videos so you don't have to read pages of documentation. If you want to develop your own software application for the HWT905, WitMotion provides source code examples for the most common programming languages & OSs. I tested their Python demo on my Ubuntu Linux machine, and it pretty much worked out of the box once I updated a couple of path variables.My only word of warning is that the HWT905 is not like using the compass app on your smartphone. Rather, this is a proper 9-axis IMU (10 if you count the integrated barometer) that requires some technical knowledge about the principles of navigation & attitude measurement in order to make sense of the large amount of sensor data that the unit produces. As such, I believe it is really intended for engineering professionals rather than the mass consumer market.Overall, a great little unit. Would recommend to engineers & technicians looking for an IMU solution for their project.

This accelerometer works as info provided by manufacturer. Really easy to setup and it has excellent sensitivity and performance. The only thing doesn't work is when you try to run a data file saved or try to convert this data; but it save data in txt format and you can manipulate it whatever you want!

My recent HWT905-TTLs through amazon purchase had sketchy firmware running on them; On one of them, FW=14408, the wall/vertical mode gives odd results. The other purchased a couple months after, FW=10515, I just can't get accurate readings from it at all.I did get the correct factory FW, WT925.bin from tech support, but I have tried their provided FW upgrade process--twice, resulting in dead sensors both times. There's no way I'm touching the sensor with FW=14408. Although tech support has been generally responsive, I wish the exchange/return policy was a little better. Or at least be able to send the sensors back to have the company upgrade the firmware to proper spec. If they were better about that, I would probably give this sensor '5 stars', because the construction is solid, and it for what it does, it can be calibrated to work well.Edit: The engineering & tech support was really great in helping me resolve the problems. OK: first of all the correct FW actually is 10515. They gave me a different MiniIMU program + the 10515 FW which worked like a charm to reburn this FW. They even stayed on-line to make sure it worked. :-). After that, just make sure to calibrate specifically to the mode you want to operate it on (Wall or Horizontal) with the original upgradable standard miniIMU PC software. After Elliptical calibration the sensor performance is rock solid in either mode.
