I needed this for a dance routine, and it fit the bill perfectly. Its something that needs to be handled with some care, as its traditional in its construction - wood and thread - but is surprisingly sturdy despite that.

Here in Texas, we’ve been over 105 degrees for weeks. No matter how much water I’ve given my “sun loving” plants, it’s just too much heat in the sun. They were curling up and burning everyday.These parasols are really, really beautiful. They are nylon (not paper), and affordable.I bought the metal “sand umbrella” stakes and the parasol handle fit perfectly into them.I wish I had them sooner.Just about every color was back ordered, except black. I think black is the perfect choice for the job. The sweet flower design on top is just adorable.From now on, I’m going to stick these into all my big flower containers for shade and charming color.So happy to have found these!(Sorry I don’t have the item number for the metal stakes, but they were a pack of 4, very sturdy and sank about 6 inches into the dirt. Very ingenious. They’re meant to hold umbrellas in the sand on the beach, so I opted for the heavy duty metal instead of plastic. I’m glad I did.)

Summary: Sturdy, classy appearance for the price. Shipped on time. Several small problems that do not effect how the product functions._____________I wanted a cheap, but classy parasol for my Kaylee (Firefly) cosplay, and this was perfect! Of course, it wasn't her signature rainbow swirl parasol, but I was told by several people that it made clear who I was cosplaying as. I needed it within 6 business days, so I ordered it for extra money, since I couldn't figure out where it was coming from, and therefore be able to even guess whether or not it would arrive on time. It was delivered the day before my deadline, which I am very glad about.As for the product itself...better than I expected for the price!Pros:The flowers on top appear to be hand painted-on, giving it an at-a-glance-homemade look.Surprisingly sturdy, and moderate in size.A fairly pleasant pink.Not so fancy or expensive that you feel the need to be careful with it.Arrived on time. (with expedited shipping at checkout: 5 business days, I think, from Ohio to Wisconsin)Cons:The wood of the handle is sort of streaky or blotchy, almost as though it was stained wood and they missed a few spots.There is a pop-out part in the handle to hold the parasol all the way open, and it was such a ragged piece of wood that, the first time I noticed it, I thought I'd broken the handle. (I didn't really care, however, after I realized what it really was; in fact, it proved useful, it just doesn't look great if you take a closer look.)The top center part is a garish red, and clashes with the rest of the parasol.
