Absolutely amazing. I have told several friends about the product and every one of them is as happy as I am. Wish I had found it sooner

A few months ago, during the presidential campaign season, I was canvassing for one of the major candidates in a suburb of Detroit. I had a pleasant and productive conversation with the voter, at the end of which he told me that he created a jar opener and was selling it on Amazon. I looked up his product and bought one. It is really fabulous. The main thing I'll tell you about it is that it will open sauerkraut jars that I get at Costco (pictured here). They are really large, and I've always had great difficulty opening them - I've used a variety of other jar openers, and they just aren't big enough. Unfortunately I don't have the dimensions of this jar (it's long gone to my recycle bin and beyond), but believe me, it's big.I've also used it to open an olive oil bottle, and numerous other containers larger than the bottle top and smaller than the sauerkraut jar.Buy this jar and bottle opener.

Love this. Easiest way to open jars and bottles. I've bought for other family members because it works so well. My 94 year old mom uses it easily.

I could not open even one jar or bottle with this. I am 76 years old. It was too painful to try. Plus I had to reach up to under a shelf which became difficult to do. The photos show young hands and arms. Maybe it is the angle of reaching up to open it. Not for me. I replaced my old worn out Oxo Good Grips jar opener with a new one and then was able to open jars.

This is the most handy kitchen gadget ever. It opens all jars and bottles with ease, big or small. My hands don't have the strength they used to and was struggling to open stuff. Not anymore. This makes that job quick, easy, painless. It really works, 100% of the time.

I was truly amazed by this thing. Installing it could not be easier. It’s much safer than others I’ve used because the blade is completely protected. Opened several jars and could not believe how different this is. You literally do not have to apply pressure against the blade while you turn the jar. The design takes care of delivering the perfect torque. This thing is an engineering marvel!

I have very small hands, and it’s sometimes hard for me to open jars. I have a couple of tricks that usually work, along with some rubbery gripper things, but I thought that a gadget like this might work better.I studied the pictures a lot to make sure I oriented the Jiffy Twist correctly to mount it. And since I have always been spatially challenged, it took me a while to figure out what direction to turn the jar to get the lid off, since I am used to turning the lid. I tried it out on a very easy-to-open jar to make sure I got that part right (and sure enough, I was going to turn the jar the wrong way).I then gathered two more jars for testing how well the Jiffy Twist performed. The first was an ancient mason jar of preserves (I think) that I had made a very long time ago, the kind with a two part lid—the part on top of the jar, and a ring. While I could not loosen the ring with my bare hands, the Jiffy Twist loosened it right away. The second jar was a jar of molasses. I could tell by the marks on the lid that I’d had trouble opening it before. Bad news: the lid was stuck on so tight that I was not able to open it with the Jiffy Twist. I applied considerable effort as I twisted the jar, with no luck, so I started using my tricks. First, I poured some hot water on the lid to see if that would make it expand and thereby loosen it. Still no luck. I then tried what (judging by the marks on the lid) I had tried before: rapping the edges of the lid lightly all the way around with the handle of a table knife. I have no idea why this works, but it is very reliable. After that, I was able to open it with the Jiffy Twist. But my guess is that I would have been able to open it using one of my rubbery grippers, too.I’m not going to go through all my unopened jars right now to see how well the Jiffy Twist works on them, because I am not ready to open them. But I think that the Jiffy Twist is generally a useful device, and it will probably save me some hand strain, which I’ve gotten before from trying too hard to open a jar with just my hands when I’m not strong enough. But it’s clear that I will still need to use some tricks on especially difficult to open jars.
