They add just enough cushion to make the paddle handle not cramp my hands up

while they do provide cushioning for paddling, after following the "directions", and reading the other reviews, they get only 2 stars. Soaked the grips, wet the paddle pole, sprayed olive oil, used dawn soap. Yet they were very difficult to move to get to the right spot. While trying to slide them on the pole, they actually turned inside out.

These will NOT fit standard kayak paddles. They will freely slide. Cam not get them on the adjustable length paddles. It will not go over the locking latch.
