I use this with my Vitapod pods and it works much better getting it mixed than the water bottle and cap that Vitapod provides. This funky vortex blender mixes the powder in seconds without a fuss. I can then pour it into the Vitapod bottle and head out. I'm really giving it 4.5 stars...taking off 1/2 star for it not having a separate "cover" so that I can leave the mixing part at home. Also, it charges up quick and the charge lasts. Definitely recommend.

This might be one of those items you don't really NEED, but it is convenient and makes mixing protein shakes that much easier. Note, this isn't a blender that can crush ice or fruit, but it's still pretty handy. Testing it out with normal protein powders, the shake was smoother and not lumpy like you can still get with regular shakers. I use a lot of propel sticks and similar powder mixes - and this electric shaker works wonderful for those as well. If you've ever used clear protein, it says you have to shake and not use a blender. This is a good compromise, as it gets it to mix better, but because its not as powerful as a blender it doesn't make it foam all up. It's simple to use- you can long press the button and it will run on its own for a minute, or double press and pulse blend. I'm still on my first charge, so it lasts awhile, and when washing have been careful not to submerge the base. Cleaning is easy if you add some water and a few drops of soap, then turn it on, then rinse, and it does all come apart for deeper cleaning when needed.

I got tired of my traditional shaker bottle that never seemed to really mix my protein powders properly so I was looking into these electric mixers and I'm glad I found this one. I find that like most bottles, putting the liquid in first and the powder on top is the way to go. The plastic blade works well to create a vortex that draws the powder down and into the water/milk/whatever mixing it to a smooth consistency without any lumps in sight. Its really easy to clean and I love the fact that it is rechargeable. I give it bonus love because the lights are like a little party every time you make a shake. Plus, its really quiet. That may not be a big deal to some people but I, personally, really enjoy that it doesn't make a lot of annoying sounds. This blender bottle is not to be used with ice, fruit, or really anything solid because it is just a small plastic mixing blade but for what I need it for, its truly perfect.

I LOVE this electric blender cup, as it mixes up any powder perfectly in whatever fluid I throw at it. The cup has a large capacity, so I can put enough water in it to make my Fortagen protein powder palatable enough to drink without gagging. The listing states that it fits 25 oz, but after putting in a scoop of Fortagen protein and a scoop of Redmond ReLyte chocolate powder, there is only enough room for 16 oz of water before it reaches the max fill line. Trust me, you do NOT want to fill past the max fill line because everything will come spurting out once the blending starts (don't ask how I know this). This leads me to one of the reasons why I gave this only 4 stars instead of 5...The lid (the part that covers the spout) is not very secure. I found that it's a MUST to hold this down when blending, otherwise, the contents come out during blending. This is not a problem as my left hand holds the lid while my right hand presses the blending button. Speaking of the blending button, that is the second reason for the 4-star rating. I can't get it to work as described in the instructions!! A single press is supposed to make it blend continuously for 60 seconds, and a double press and hold is supposed to make it pulse-blend. Well, I can't seem to get mine to do that.A single, double, or long press just turns the lights on, and any press after that cycles through the lights. I have to just hold the button down for the blender to run, and it only runs so long as the button is pressed. I've used this blender cup multiple times over several weeks, and only ONCE has it been able to blend continuously for 60 seconds after a single press (and I did that accidentally, so I haven't been able to reproduce the continuous blending). I don't even know why the cup has to be so complicated or why the designers felt it needed to have colored lights, as I don't know anyone who ever expressed the need to have their protein powders lit up while mixing. I'd much prefer a simpler button that worked as described.
