If you have a truck (think F250) forget it. Not wide enough to hold the tires. If you have a regular midsize or smaller, it'll works great. I'm 330lbs and I can (almost) do a pull up on this too, so it's incredibly sturdy and could even be used as exercise equipment, should you wish to do so. Install is a snap, taking about 10 minutes if you have a drill handy.I think it seems a bit pricey, but it's actually a decent value when you consider that you're getting some incredibly thick metal that a big heavy dude could do pull ups off of.

At $69.99, this might seem a little expensive at first glance, but after installing it, I can say it’s absolutely worth it due to the solid build quality. I mounted it in my enclosed utility trailer to store spare tires, and it worked out perfectly. It’s made from 12-gauge steel and feels extremely sturdy — definitely not some flimsy lightweight rack. This gives me peace of mind, especially using it in a trailer that sees a lot of bouncing and shaking around while towing with my truck. It holds tight, doesn’t flex, and I feel confident my spare tires are secure. The rack can hold up to 400 lbs, and the heavy-duty construction with a powder-coated finish gives it long-term durability and rust resistance. Everything was packaged well in thick cardboard, and it arrived in perfect condition. Install was straight forward and simple. I really like the telescoping design of the bar — it adjusts from 31 to 56 inches, so you can get the perfect fit no matter where you’re mounting it or what size tires you’re storing. Now I’ve got my spare tires up off the floor and out of the way, which frees up a ton of usable space in my trailer. This wall-mounted design keeps tires organized vertically, preventing the flat spots and deforming that can happen when stacking them horizontally. It’s ideal for anyone storing seasonal tires, spares, or performance sets — whether in a trailer, garage, or workshop.Highly recommended if you need strong, adjustable tire storage that’s built to last.

This is a very sturdy, well-made tire rack. Installation was simple enough, and once mounted to studs, it easily holds my (4) 18-inch tires and wheels. This provides great space-saving functionality for a smaller garage. A great value for the price.

Once a year I switch to snow tires... up until now I have however fought daily with the spare set of tires being in the way. THis took a bit to install because I installed it high enough to be out of the way, but it wasn't overly difficult. Just would have been easier with a friend helping. It holds the tires without any issue or concern of them falling. I'm thrilled to have this and should have bought it years ago

Strong & xtra thick metal used on all parts of this rack !Very stout! 4 bars. 2 larger diameter - the smaller ones slide into the larger diameter poles for adjustable width. The poles can be set in various spacing as well to accommodate different size tires. Very strong and durable - you do need to hit studs when hanging this as it and tires are heavy - the adjustable width makes this easy to do. Definitely recommend!

This tire rack is good for most rim/tire combos. I put the biggest wheels i have on it. I layed it out in my driveway and as you can see it fits 24" rims and tires from 1 of my trucks. I wish the side brackets were a little longer but I'm going to get a 2x6 paint it and mount it to my wall first then I will have the clearance I'm looking for. Since all my rim tire combos are 20"- 24" set ups i want it as long as possible but it would work without the added board. You could easily take it to 56" if needed. The only tires that would be an issue would be mudders or 26" rims but again just add a spacer board to the wall that's secured with the proper lag bolts and it will be fine. The components are thick gauge steel and have a textured powder coat finish . It comes with nice hardware and other than my added board I feel no need to upgrade. The cross bars have some play in them but I couldn't bend them with my foot, I would suggest to staggered the bars for sturdiness, assemble with 1 thick bar and 1 thin bar on each side.

If I could add stars, I would. Here’s why:I just needed to store four small wheels with tires, from a Miata, so in my case this rack is a little stronger than necessary. However, I can tell it would be up to holding much larger ones within its 400 pound capacity.Installation was extremely simple. Just add three of the included lag screws per bracket, and space the brackets at just about any width within the range they listed. I mounted mine 48 inches apart. Then, add the horizontal telescoping tubes at whatever positions are best for your tires. That’s it. So simple, yet so strong, and it gets those tires off the floor! The horizontal tubes do not bend or sag under the weight of tires. In fact, nothing sags. There is some slight horizontal movement, but no vertical movement, whatsoever.Bottom line: This is a good one. It is not made cheap. No shortcuts were taken. It’s made to take a load.Tip: Because most wheels with tires tend to fall over toward their outside side, I just put them on the rack in pairs, with the outside sides facing each other. This stabilized the pairs.

This tire rack is super strong and made of durable metal! No doubt it can hold 400 lbs! For people who have 16” wall studs, this will be mounted at about 48”. If you follow the instructions, then that will give you about 50” for your tires. If you install it with the mounting bolts on the outer side (which will be equally sturdy), it will give you about 46” for your tires. So depending on how wide your tires are, you may have success with an 11 or 12 inch wide tire. There are likely other configurations that could be successful. Great find!
