A few years ago I bought my first one at Walmart. When I wanted a second one for pink salt and multi-colored pepper corns, I could no longer find them. I didn't stop searching and off/on over the years I finally found them on Amazon. I kept it in my folder until now, when the plastic on the inside of the 1st one I bought, broke when trying to break a peppercorn. I know plastic will get more brittle with age and I was sad when it broke, but happy they were still available on Amazon. Very happy with the replacement!!! *:)

I had a previous grinder that I loved that is no longer available. This one is okay at best. The pepper grinder is inconsistent. Grind repeatedly and get a few small dots of pepper, then suddenly a couple large chunks, then dots.... Salt shaker barely functions. Will continue to use it until I find something better, but really disappointed.UPDATE: Now that I've used this shaker a bit longer, it's gotten much worse. Salt goes everywhere, the pepper mill doesn't grind, and it's falling apart. A complete waste of money.

The pepper hardly works. Squeezed 15 times to get the very small amount as seen in pictures. The salt side is very hard to squeeze and always comes out large pieces even when on the small setting.

I like the idea of a single handed salt and pepper grinder. This one seem to fit the bill so I got it.First impression: seems to be well made and the size provides a good grip. After awhile of continuous use however, the lever becomes hard to use and sometimes nothing comes out. It has an adjustable ring to control fine / corse grind but personally I didn't notice much difference. Also, the position of the ring seem to move as the lever is being used. Looks pretty easy to refill by unscrewing the 2 half from each other. For the most part, I thing its an OK grinder and the fact that can be used by one hand, its really good. I wouldn't advise anyone to buy this who has pain / arthritis in their fingers.

When I got the dual grinder, the part that connects the salt to the pepper grinder was broken. The Salt and Pepper Grinders still work, just that they are not connected to each other anymore. Looks like the connection between the was very flimsy.

I love a really fine grind and that is really my only complaint, it does a good job but it just doesn't grind all that fine and seems to be getting less and less fine the more I use it which concerns me as to how long it will last. if in a busy cooking house and looking for durable and fine I would pick something else. Casual use with a course grind preference its probably perfect for you

Pieces of plastic broke off while grinding. The two halves do not stay together, becoming loser the longer you grind, then the top and bottom parts disconnect. If you don't have a good trip on both parts one of them is going to fall into your food. The unit is also very top heavy and prone to toppling over with the least little nudge or shake. It's difficult to adjust the siz of the grind and the amount that comes out. This results in too much seasoning added to your food, often making it inedible. For example, don't use it on eggs when you only need a bit of salt and pepper or you'll end up with big chunks of nearly whole peppercorns and loads of salt that are large and too coarsely ground which ruins the eggs.Note that this grinder has a large capacity so you might not need to refill it very often. That's a plus because it's also quite a chore to fill up this grinder.Today, as I was seasoning a bowl of fresh tomato soup for lunch, the grinder again separated and the salt unit fell into my soup. So now my pink t-shirt is ruined and stained with tomato soup. I've had enough of this grinder. It's in the trash and I'm shopping for a new model.

PEPPER GRINDING MECHANISM BROKE INTERNALLY AFTER 1 MONTH OF OCCASIONAL USE. Prior to that... Great design, really convenient, clever, love it. But regrettably even in the finest setting, the salt grinder is much too coarse for food (fine for cooking), depositing crunchy little lumps of salt onto your food that are give a powerful unpleasant taste when you eat them. So great for cooking and ok for liquid dishes like soups. But for usual table use, you need an additional finer salt grinder or granular salt pourer, which rather defeats the purpose of the integrated salt and pepper design! If they fix this in a revised design then it will be a winning product! CAE

I love everything about this item. It’s sleek, doesn’t take up much room on my counter and provides me with perfectly ground salt and pepper. The design makes it easy to use and you don’t need a lot of hand pressure to make it work (important for arthritis)

I bought this grinder because I wanted the ease of one-handed use in addition to having both salt and pepper in one grinder. This is perfect for having on the table at meals for individuals to add extra salt or pepper to their meals. It does a good job at grinding large sea salt crystals, but has a harder time with the round shape of pepper corns, and therefore can take a while to get a large amount of pepper ground. This makes it better for table-top use than for use in grinding large amounts of pepper for a recipe (for example pepper-crusted ahi tuna). It broke today after a year and a half of regular use; the bottom of the pepper side fell off. It appears to be fixable with a bit of glue, I have reassembled it and will wait 24 hours for it to dry. All in all this was a good product that met my needs, and it was relatively durable, however if my repairs do not hold and/or I eventually end up replacing it down the line, I think I might try a different model to find one that performs better with peppercorns.
