this replaced our 43 year old Frigidaire of similar dimensions. It is very quiet compared to the old one (especially as it was starting to growl and complain), and I expect much more energy efficient. Plus, when the kitchen drops below 50 F in the winter at night, this one should still keep the ice cream frozen with the 'garage ready' feature.Generally the layout makes sense -- better use of space on the door compartments, but the crisper drawers are smaller and feel flimsy compared to the old steel ones. There is no light in the freezer, and though it has a good shelf, the control is all the way at the back on the bottom, just where you would likely pack longer term frozen goods. In all other respects the new one is flimsy and feels cheap compared to the old one, but that probably is true across the board in all but very high end appliances. I doubt it will last a third as long. On the plus side, it is relatively light and easy to move.I cranked the two controls to max cold to test overnight. Right now 63 F in the kitchen, -11 F in the freezer compartment, 37 F in the main. It works.

I do not recomend this fridge and if you still want to buy this fridge, do not buy from Amazon and just get it from your local store instead.- Cons of this fridge, heat elements are on both sides of the fridge instead of back like most fridge. You cannot fit this inside a wall if there are no rooms on the sides to keep it cooled correct.- this fridge has a p trap for the drain and it will keep your door from being able to open after you close the door for at least untill you hear this loud gurgling sound. My issue was, had this fridge delivered with some dents but I didn't mind since it was cosmetic issue and I plan to use in the garage. The problem was after about over a month in, did notice the fridge seem to not keep the temp well. One day I see puddle of water on the floor. Opened the fridge and nothing was cooling, top freezer had defrosted and all the water was leaking from top to bottom. Called Amazon to have it replaced and they told me to call Kenmore to have it serviced since it's past the return period of 30days. I called Kenmore and had the tech come out to fix it and they had to replace the compressor and coils since it was leaking freon. Had to wait again for the parts to arrive. Finally got all the parts and had it replaced. After the tech left, I kept noticing this gurgling sound after I close the door, the sides of the fridge was not to the touch. Called them again to have the tech come out to fix the problem and he said the freon was over charged and the design of the fridge is supposed to be hot on both side of the fridge and the p trap makes it hard to open the door after closing the door. Fine, I can still live with hard to open door and hot sides and loud gurgling sound. The fridge kept not cooling and was sitting at 55F I kept waiting to see if the temp would cool but it takes 2 full days before it would be in the 40F at the coldest setting. Had the tech come out again and they tell me the compressor needs to be replaced again. wtf! I called Kenmore and they are telling me they will keep fixing the problem until it works (I'm fumming from not being able to use this fridge for over a month now) Kenmore states unless the tech says it's not fixable, then they will keep sending out techs to fix the fridge until the warrenty expires so I called Amazon and they are telling me it is past 30day return period so they will not be doing anything about it. I am writing this review out of frustration so buyer beware of what you are buying into!

I didn’t want a fancy refrigerator. I purchased this based on price and features. Completely satisfied with the design and simple practicality. This is a no frills great refrigerator. I would recommend this to a young family or as a garage refrigerator. It is easy to move around with the wheels in back and adjustable stoppers in the front. I will advise the plug is a standard electrical plug that sticks out from the outlet. I will be getting a triple outlet plug so I can plug the refrigerator plug in an up and down position to hug the wall closely so can push theRefrigerator back a few more inches. Flawless delivery with a 30 minute “heads up” delivery text was helpful. I was able to empty the driveway and walkway with in the kitchen. Perfect experience with this purchase. Highly recommend this item to anyone looking for a basic refrigerator with a clean look.
