This twin-head piezo transducer is designed for internal mount in acoustic guitars and other instruments. It is basically identical to the Twin Spot Classic but it comes with an endpin jack for internal mount. The jack can be mounted from the outside so no soldering is necessary. The twin-head system has distinctive advantages compared to the single-head transducer. The positioning at two spots results in a more balanced sound structure of the low and high frequencies. Made two identical Dulcimer’s, used the single pickup and the twin pickup. The single had better sound, but both were very good products. Also both were better with the K&K preamp into a 15 watt practice amp.

Made my Balalika electric. The sound is identical to acoustic (no need for tone controls). The pickup has excellent gain (no need for a preamp). Couldn't ask for more.

I used this to replace the original failed pickup installed in a Brazilian bandolim (flat top, round hole mandolin). Installation was a snap and it sounds great - very true sound reproduction. I like that it is a passive pickup with no battery to go dead or electronic components to fail. After testing it out, I immediately bought another one to install in my Cavaquinho.

Sounds quite amazing on its own. I wish there was a convenient an affordable pre-amp than the K&K.
