I would absolutely recommend this MacBook charger. It is very light weight and does not overheat like my old charger. It seems to charge my computer very quickly. My only one complaint is the material it is made of seems on the cheaper side. I am hoping it lasts a long time.

Worked fine for about 6 weeks, then kaput. It looks brand new, not abused - used exclusively at home in one room, but is already at the stage where you need to bend the laptop side of the cord to get it to conduct power to the laptop.Update:And not long after I posted this, I could hear sparking inside the tip that attached to the machine. So that's the final end of that.The first signs on the day it started malfunctioning were the machine shutting down a few times - likely to protect itself and/or triggering a fault of some sort.

What's not to like? It's 1/4 the cost of Apple charger, and it works. It's a 10 year old laptop, and the original Apple charger died (cord frayed) after 2 years. Every charger I've bought, the cord frays after a year or two. So, I keep an extra, all the time. I try to convince my wife it's time to retire her old Macbook, but she has an emotional attachment. The downside is that each time I come back to Amazon to buy more, the one I bought previously is gone, and I have to figure out all over again which seller might have a good item, at a good price (that works!). At this price, now that I know this one works, I think I'll order 2 or 3 more, to put on the shelf next to her chair in the living room. "What, honey? It won't charge again? Look to your left, and get another one."

I was in need of a new macbook charger for my 2012 macbook pro. I was hesitant to go to the apple store and spend over $80. I tried to search amazon, and this product looked beautiful and was very affordable. The descriptions were very clear and I was able to match it to the version of my macbook very easily. I decided to place and order. The order arrived in two days and works wonderful! It charges my macbook up very quick. What I love most about this product is that the wire also works with the extension to make your chord longer if needed. I will purchase again!

Looks great. Works great. It charges my laptop after my old one pooped out. I guess I didn’t look close enough at the product because I thought it was going to include the extender part that comes with Mac chargers. That’s my only complaint. I’m glad that part of my old charger still works or I’d be returning this and looking for a complete charger. I love the length I get with the full cord because my laptop’s battery lasts maybe an hour without being connected to power. #electronicsfrom2011

I was worried that the charger might not be good, but it is and at a low price too. The last charger had a problem where it would turn green and then orange to charge. This one is already ahead of that one. The length of the cable is good for me and not too long, which can be a problem. The case if much better too and is not heating up like my last charger. I would recommend you buy it from here. I was worried about the corona virus pandemic that I would not be able to get this charger in time because I do all my work from my MacBook. By the way if your MacBook goes dark and won't start up it might be because of the charger. That happened to me so I hope that helps you or anyone else. Be safe and I hope it this helps.

Item arrived on time and well protected. I have purchased replacement power supplies for my macbooks before and this one is definitely a better quality. While it does not have the extension cord, it does have the ability to put an Apple extension cord to the block. This is a feature several other power supplies lack. Laptop charged quickly with no issue. I am not sure of the long term durability, but I expect it should last for quite sometime. I will do a follow up if it fails prematurely. Overall, a very good power supply at a great price!

UPDATE, The only issue I have is after two months the coated connector part of the cord has become detached form the base and when it happened the item was already past the time frame to return it, It still works but I wish it was a little better made at the connecter points!WOW, This Little Charger DOES A WONDERFUL JOB, From Day One My Original Apple 60w Charger Got Very Hot. I Will Be Honest I Was Very Wary About Buying This Charger Feeling That It Would Over Heat And Possibly Cause Damage To My Laptop. NOPE, Works Great Thus Far (Will Update In A Few Months) As Of Now It Does Get A Wee Bit Warm Not To Much No More Then A Normal Charger,(NO WORRIES) I Have Only One Issue The Plug Portion Does Not Stay In The Wall Socket Very Well. ( NOT A DEAL BREAKER) I Was Able To Use My Extension Apple Cord That Slides Into The Port (YAY) Fits Very Snug. This Charger Is Very LIGHT In Weight, If You Are Trying To Compare This Charger To An Apple DON'T They Are Not The Same But It Seems To Work The Same With Little To No Difference. I Am Very Pleased!
