This griddle lid is absolute perfection. The quality is stunning and it heats very evenly, making longer-cooking veggies ready in a snap and keeping things warm while finishing other items. It’s very low stick and easy to clean. My husband absolutely loves the versatility of it and how well it holds heat.

First off I have to say that when I ordered this griddle lid, I didn’t expect to receive the cutest most posh branding aesthetic Sweden had to offer, but here we are. As a millennial, the level of care put into the presentation of a product really reflects to me the pride taken by the company. Not only did the thoughtfully fitted crimson on neutral box make me feel like a professional chef opening an item for my test kitchen, but the lid itself is beautiful. It’s perfectly symmetrical with tight folds at the corners, the stainless steel screams artesanal European craftsmanship, and the minimalist design is pleasing to my eyes. Everything about this thing is sleek and stylish- the satin finish gives the metal a flat appearance that for some reason just oozes professionalism. It’s got a good amount of weight to it, proving it can hold its own against a wild Greek like myself in the kitchen, but it isn’t so heavy that putting it back in my cabinet feels like a chore. As it sometimes goes, I failed to read the clearly stated description before buying, which states that the lid is specially designed to be compatible with Made In griddles. I was in a hurry, as I’m tired of using shallow pot and pan lids as a means of melting cheese onto my smash burgers (and quite frankly everything else). Lucky for me, it’s almost the exact width of the built in griddle on my stove top. Since the lid is very slightly too wide to create a seal, a tiny gap appears at the bottom when placed onto my griddle, and I was initially worried this would decrease the effectiveness of the lid.Luckily again, I’m here to confirm that my cheese is melting better and faster than ever, and I’ve even noticed there’s a more uniform sear on food cooked under the lid vs out in the open. I’m also quite happy that I can now cover thicker and taller piles of lamb without worrying about any sauces etc getting smeared along the bottom of a glass pan lid, since we all know how I feel about presentation.Seeing as it’s greatly improved my experience without even creating a seal as it’s designed to, I can’t help but wonder how much more it can do when paired with a griddle of its own kind. I don’t plan on buying another griddle anytime soon, but seeing how awesomely constructed something as simple as their griddle lid is has convinced me to shell out the extra cash for their grill press. It is smash burger season after all.

I have a few Made In products already so when I saw this I wanted to give it a try. Like all Made In stuff, if comes packaged very nicely and well protected. The handle works well and is comfortable. The metal feels slightly thinner than some other products I have but for this type of device I think that's totally fine. The other interesting thing about the construction is that the corners are not welded together; the sides are folder down but there is a very small gap where the corners meet. I don't think this matters at all but was a bit surprised. I tried to show it in one of the photos. Keep in mind this is about 9" square. That's big enough for maybe two smash burgers so this is good for a few people but not for cooking for a big group. Overall, it works great and does what I needed it to do. It does a good job capturing steam to help melt cheese or warm up buns which is primarily what I use it for.

This is the first time I've actually seen the Made In brand in person and I have to say I'm very impressed with the quality! This griddle lid is extremely well made, heavy and will be a perfect addition to my griddle tools. I recently purchased my first large gas griddle so I'm cooking outdoors quite a bit since the weather is nice but I was struggling to use a stainless steel bowl as a cover. I'm really glad I found this and will be using it for a very long time to come. The construction and materials are excellent. If you want quality, it costs money - this is well worth it. Highly, highly recommend!!!!

If you have ever watched a short order cook in a diner make a burger, you may have seen them take a metal pot lid and place it over the cooking burger on the griddle (or grill.) The cover keeps the heat and moisture in and allows the burger to cook in a more homogenous heat while keeping it moist. This is the same idea, but a little more elegant. And, as another reviewer noted, with a hint of danger since the metal edges are a little sharper than they need to be. I didn't rate this cooking accessory down because of that but it is correct to take note of it.The construction is two stainless steel 'U' shapes placed perpendicularly to form a square box. A stainless handle is attached at the top and it should be noted that the handle may get quite warm and should be touched with gloved hands when cooking. The edges of the U shapes are not welded-- a bit of heat and smoke can escape thru the seams. Also, the lack of a welded joint makes the lid sound a bit tinny--but it really isn't. It's nicely made for the purpose.Cooking with this is fun. It gives you a bit more control over the browning process and can also be a way to get a bit more smoke on to whatever you are cooking.

The stainless steel construction is both durable and easy to clean, making it a low-maintenance yet highly effective addition to anyone's cooking setup. The handle is a good size.Great to melt cheese or cook vegetables on flat top griddle.Helps prevent oil and grease splatter.Negative is the bottom's very sharp edges and need to be careful or can get cut...this issue requires immediate attention. Not safe as is!
