This ice maker is compact and fits easily in a small place on your counter. The machine was easy to set up and use. The machine made about 8 cubes in 8 minutes. Having said that this machine won’t keep the cubs cold forever. I would run a few cycles of making cubes then transfer the made ice to a freezer box. You can make two different size cubes of ice. The ice tastes great and isn’t rock solid but rather the consistency of a really frozen popsicle. The remaining hardness can be achieved in the freezer. Overall good bang for the buck

This is a great ice maker! It’s super simple, easy to use, and makes plenty of ice fast. It comes with good instructions that made it easy to set up and use. It holds a lot of water, so it can make ice throughout the day without refilling often. It makes ice quickly, and you can choose to make small or large pieces. The ice is a good size and works for drinks, smoothies, whatever you need.One thing to know: if ice is left in the tray, it will eventually melt and recycle back into water. So move the ice to your freezer if you want to keep it. Perfect for summer when the fridge struggles to keep up!

This is a handy little appliance for people who don't have a built-in icemaker or don't like the look, smell, or taste of ice that's been sitting in the freezer. I can see using this for parties or whenever else I want fresh ice fast.The machine is not very big, so it fit nicely on my countertop. It was easy to set up out of the box, and the instructions were (mostly) clear. The one thing I caught - which might be obvious - the ice cube bucket is over the water reservoir, so the instructions say to remove the bucket and then pour in the water. It doesn't actually say to put the bucket back in its place. But of course, it needs to go back in its place in order to catch the ice cubes as they come out.I tried the small cubes first. As promised, it took about 6 minutes per cycle, which produced 6 cubes each time. The machine will work continually until a) the ice bucket is full or b) the water runs out. With a full tank, my machine produced a full bucket in just shy of an hour. (At any point you can open the lid and scoop out ice from the bucket without interrupting anything.) I ended up with about 66 uniform small cubes; however, a few of the ones that came out first were already partially melted. After the machine produced a full bucket, there was still about 1/2 of the water left in the reservoir.I also tried making the large cubes. Since they were thicker, the cubes themselves held up better than the small ones.The machine was not very loud when running, and it did not get hot. Not even warm, actually, even after an hour of use.The one question I had was how to stop the continuous cycles if you don't need a full bucket. Otherwise, as noted, the only way it will stop is if the water runs out or the ice bucket is full. I tried calling the customer service number to ask about this - twice - but it's an automated system that only offers two options - leave a voicemail or request a callback. When the callback came, it was just an automated message, and I had to leave a voicemail anyway. So far, no actual human interaction. Therefore, I can't say whether customer service would be effective if there would happen to be an issue with the machine. For that reason I'm giving it 4 stars. (But if I do end up getting a callback I will update my review.)

I knew what I was getting because my son has one very similar to this and I have used his while babysitting. This one seems to perform just like his so I am happy. We have a refrigerator with ice in the door and it is just fine except when we have a party or extra people staying with us. That is when we tend to run out of ice. We usually drive a few miles into town and buy ice. We decided that this might pay for itself if we would make some ice up ahead for when we have extra people around the house. The economics aren't real sound though because I could do that with my regular ice maker. I really like to crunch ice and this stuff has that soft texture like you get with some fountain drinks. You can't put a price on that if you are committed ice cruncher and that is the true justification.It will quickly make ice and will make a new batch every 8 minutes. It will fill the little basket in about 30 minutes. If you don't use the ice in a reasonable amount of time, it will melt and refill the reservoir. When we are expecting company, we can make some extra up and store it in the big freezer. You would need to empty it about every 30 minutes and then add more water. If you can tend it like that, you can supply as much as your patience and time allows.If you are just using it out of the machine and not storing it in advance, I don't think a family of four would be real happy with the amount of ice at mealtime. If you are drinking 16 oz glasses of iced tea, two would be about all you would get from the hopper. It takes about the same counter space as a typical bread machine or coffee maker. It makes a bit of noise when the compressor kicks on, but not as much as a large refrigerator. I like it, but it doesn't take the place of a regular ice maker. A single or couple could probably get by with it if they remember to add water as necessary to keep it going.

Its perfect i make 2 drinks and by the time we are done there is more ice ready to go. Couldn’t be happier
