This is pretty much a retro copy of what these tape recorders were like. Recording quality is... well its low, but sufficient. It comes with a microphone, which does help. The buttons are of the same quality. I wish the record color stood out more so that it doesn't get accidentally pressed.It is not very portable, but its meant for desktop use anyway.Its OK value for the money as you're paying for something that probably shouldn't really exist now. It doesn't feel any better made or improved though than what I had in the 90s.

This little tape recorder/player really hits the nostalgia buttons. It brings back fond memories of doing silly voice recordings when I was a child, playing back the recordings to hear, then recording over them with "improved" voices.I will say the only major downside of this is that it doesn't even come with a single cassette tape... So be prepared to buy a few if you're purchasing this. Otherwise you better have old cassette tapes on hand to use.The sound quality is about what you'd expect for the price point. It's a very simple but decently made cassette player and recorder. It's nice that it comes with a little microphone as well. The originals just had the mic built directly into the device so you had to bring the whole thing close if you wanted to record anything.

Very light weight and compact, this tape recorder allows you to play legacy cassettes and can also be used with vintage computers to load data tapes. For a single small speaker, the sound quality is respectable and the control firmly engage and function as they should.

Memorex MX-CR90 retro cassette player and recorder is so easy to use!! I tried 1 of these newer, digital recorders and.................not for me........I remember these from my childhood, and this is just a more modern, better version. The Memorex name has still got it, I love the simplicity, it's very straightforward. I finally found 1 of my old cassette tapes to test this out and am quite happy with the sound quality, but I definitely need some new blank cassettes!! The microphone works very well and there is a headphone jack for private listening. 1 of the things I really love to record are nature sounds. Lately there has been some very active and vocal foxes around my home, and at 1st I had no idea what was making these VERY peculiar and eerie sounds!!! Upon some research, I found that it was them! I had no idea foxes could sound this way! It's called gekkering, and now with this awesome Memorex recorder, I can capture their sounds!! $29.99 is a great price for this!!

Blast from the past for real and I say get one just in case you never know when you’re gonna need a product that’s obsolete. You may wanna listen to old memories, music that comes from cassettes. Those are definitely from my days. Or unfortunately for me, I have it for more tragic reasons. I had a very serious situation in my past when I was young and had to put me through a trial and the only way that I have the trial is on cassette tapes, so the only way that I can listen to any of it is through a cassette tape deck player.. not so good memories however I do also have a bag full of cassette music tapes from the early 90s so those are fun and you never know when they’re gonna stop making these obsolete products. Get yourself one today and you’ll notice they’re not cheap. They’re a lot more expensive than they once were back in the 80s and 90s. This one arrived perfect in a box and I will update you if I have any issues but so far it looks great.
