Most of the things I get from Amazon nowadays are poor quality, but I’m pleasantly surprised with this. They look like they were made for my felt hat.

This is easy to attach to your hat. It stayed on while horseback riding on a windy mountain. I didn't like the look of the metal on the tips of the strings but it helps weigh them down so they don't blow around. I'd recommend!

The material is nice, but too long. The cotters are too short and much stronger than necessary. Changing to another hat will be difficult.

The strap itself is nicely made leather and the metal end clips feel satisfying. However it could have been better suited to its intended purpose.The leather is heavy and feels bulkier than a typical string. It is extremely long - almost to my navel - have to shove it in my shirt to avoid looking ridiculous and having it get in the way.Traditionally these are mounted on the hatband inside. I had a straw cowboy hat that was rigid and already fairly tight. When attached on the band, the clips pressed painfully against my temples and made it impossible to put on the hat at all. I had to poke holes through the brim of the hat instead, which I don't find to be ideal.It looks nice by itself, but for actually attaching to a tight fitting hat, it's not that great. I'd recommend shopping around for something more practical.

It’s very elegant and does the job, I ride a motorcycle and I’ve gotten in the habit of attaching my hat it to my backpack when I ride and it has yet to fall off (it’s illegal to ride without a helmet so I have to put the helmet on and attach my hat to my back pack instead) it’s been extremely windy lately and my hat stays on as well, I definitely have a mind to continue to purchase multiple now.

I bought this hat strap to go on my lake hat when I ride around on our boat. It is great! It looks cool, is well made, and was a snap to insert. I guess because it is for men, it is pretty long on my short little self. However, I can get over that because of all the pluses. I would highly recommend this strap.
