I don't usually write reviews but this product had some bad reviews where I almost didn't buy it. I'm by no means a professional shop but have been working on engines 30+ years. The product worked great did exactly what it was intended to do and I bet would do it every time for as many wheels as I need to do. Worrked flawlessly. Quality: basic not over engineered. I feel like it was used it was a Lil dirty but could be from manufacturing grease. Do not fear buying this. It's not 300 dollars and you will get years out of it if you use it as intended. I didn't give 5 stars only because it was a Lil dirty.

Got it today, went to use it to pull bearings out of my softail. Overall, it works. But the quality is subpar at best. There's a "notch" spot on the removal tool that you're supposed to put a wrench to tighten up the expander piece inside of the extractor, and you're supposed to use a wrench to hold the extractor still as you tighten the large nut that applies the force to pull the bearing out. The notched section is the absolute weak spot! Tried metric and standard wrenches, none fit as they are supposed to. They're all either too tight or too loose. You have to tighten the nut for the expander to an excessive amount of torque in order for it to expand the removal piece enough to actually grab onto the bearing and pull it securely. Because of the force needed, the wrench rounded off the notched portion causing it to no longer function as it should. I had to force a smaller wrench onto that point in order to finish pulling the second bearing out. All of the threads seem to be jagged, you can't really run the nuts down without using wrenches just to get them to the bottom of the threads even when the tools are not assembled. The installation tool worked fine, other than the threads being rough and having to occasionally use a wrench to run the nuts down. All in all, it did what I needed it to do. But I won't be able to use the removal tools to remove anymore bearings because of that notched portion. Oh, I also used lube on all of the threads to help and it still didn't do much. Quality control and actual spec machining just isn't here for this. I've had better tools from Harbor Freight that lasted longer than a single use. If you just need something quick to get a single set of bearings out, go for it. If you want something with decent quality that you can use more than once, find something else.

This is a pretty heavy duty kit for pulling and installing bearings... Feels like quality components and threads nicely. I like that the case it came in wasn't super flimsy and it's pretty affordable...

I was looking forward to a day off to finally pull my bearings off my front wheel. First time using it and it broke.

Product is made for one or two uses. Cheap quality and broke after using twice.
