I purchased this tagine to make delicious meals. It was a nice large size to feed to entire family. Not after the second use did the tagine start forming a hairline crack that continued to spread and crack the entire tagine only on the second use. The seller includes piece of paper with each tagine warning of cracking. It is poorly made product and the seller is aware. Returned it for a refund, not only did I have to pay for shipping back but the seller has the audacity to charge a 50 % restocking fee on each item on top of that. So they keep half of the money even though they sold you a terrible item and you had to pay for shipping back. Shady business practice. I just found out I will only receive a $72 refund on an order I spent $200. Pretty insane. Learn from my mistake and DO NOT PURCHASE FROM THIS SELLER!

This item is beautifully crafted but was a disaster to cook with. It cracked in the oven leaked all over the place. Then broke when it was being cleaned. Totally wasted the money.

We followed the directions on seasoning it to a “T”… used it 3 times on low heat with a heat diffuser. It cracked from the outside edge to the middle. Our opinion is not to spend the money - we figure it cost us about $30 per use.

I LOVED cooking in this tagine, it's a pity I could only use it a few times...The manufacturer includes several warnings in the box about how to care for this tagine and avoid damage or cracking. I handled this thing with great care and it was never used without a heat diffuser on my gas stove. I even went to great lengths to heat it up very slowly, and allow it to cool the same way, avoiding any kind of rapid temperature changes. And yet... After just the 2nd use, I noticed a hairline crack in the inside of the base, that appeared to be just the glazing. But each time it was used, the crack got a bit deeper, regardless of how carefully I was handling it. By the time I used it for just the 5th time last night, the crack ran from the center of the tagine all the way to the edge (and all the way through the thickness), and it began leaking.I'm confident this was a small flaw in the tagine that was present from the time it was made, and it just got worse no matter how carefully I treated and handled it. $88 is quite a bit to pay for something I just got to use five times, and now I am left with a big, heavy clay pot that has no use anymore.

So I bought this, because husband, aka the family chef, wanted to cook with one. That was almost a year ago and it’s been an expensive Moroccan kitchen decor. And we made Moroccan food multiple times, but never in this thing. Apparently, American pots and pans work just as well :DI’m bored today, so I am writing reviews for all the things we’ve bought in quarantine. It’s a really nice tagine, made very well. But I can’t tell you if the food is better in a Tagine.

This was packaged very well. It was a gift; the recipient has reported they like it very much. It held 8 chicken thighs with no problem.

This is the most interesting cooking vessel I've used in years . It's beautiful on the shelf and produces wonderfully tasty food . They really mean it though , when they say do not store the tagine with the lid on because it will cause mold to grow after the tagine has been soaked overnight . Follow the instructions that come with the Tagine .
