As others have mentioned this cable is quite long for the Ninja 250. For other bikes it seems short.What I think is that they made it to fit a wide range of old bikes, so they made the standard size.But in my experience it will still work, but you may need to route the cable slightly differently in order to not let it kink up too bad.I can imagine the OEM speedometer cable will be well over twice the price, so the fact the cable is long isn't a big deal when you take that into consideration.

As other buyers mentioned, this is a bit too long. Also, it doesn't have the slight bend that the original cable had. Seems to work fine for now, but I'm a bit concerned that this might cause some added stress on other (more expensive) speedometer components.

The cable seems slightly longer than the OEM and will leave a little slack and excess hang around the front wheel. If it causes concern it's easy to zip-tie to the fork.

The pictured item is not a speedometer cable. Is the picture incorrect or is it actually a clutch or brake cable?

This is my first time putting on a speedometer cable and I forgot to lubricate the cable. Upon second installment, I must have overtightened the bottom fastening and the dang thing split in half. Overall assessment, not as good as OEM cable, however being ginger with the torque, you should be fine, especially on the bottom fastener.

Arrived on time and not one issue with the product. I've been using it for about two years now for my 03' Ninja 500R and its still functioning perfectly to this day. A reliable product.
