Using Tips
1. Use this compass as far as possible away from metal interference. Metal interference can affect compass interpretation from 20 to 60 degrees.
2. Don't put compass where it's full of electromagnetic effects.
3. Avoiding exposure to sunlight to weaken the magnetic needle.

This is not for boat use as advertised. Wasn’t expecting much but did want it to work. It doesn’t work on a boat due to the fact that when the compass is tilted in any direction just slightly, the compass ceases up and does spin. So doesn’t work on a boat due to pitch and roll. Like I said wasn’t expecting much just wanted a second compass for reference…this one fails.

difficult to adjust. can only get north and east adjusted correctly. Cheap quality. I would not buy it again.

I was excited for this one but sadly let down. It does not work. Adjusting and moving it to a different area did nothing.

Could not keep this in adjustment. I mounted this on top of my dash. It would need to be aligned every couple days and did not do well in the heat.

Bought this for my kayak to replace a regular compass (Silva Starter, just points north) that I Gorilla tape to the deck.Out of the box the compass would not maintain a bearing at all, but once I followed the instructions I was able to get reliable north, east and west readings on my table top, about 2 feet from the nearest metal. However, when I rotate it 180 from north to the south it reads south west. This is too far off to be of use when fog bound. I'm wondering if there is a way to remove the adjustment magnets.

Does not work. Floating ball frozen in place. Adjusting screws do nothing. Disappointing.

Bought 2 Compasses, one for my husband and one for my son, both of them don't work. Tried adjusting with the key provided but still didn't work.

Nice little compass... Don't know what the electronic part is all about as this is a standard liquid filled compass... Wish it had lights for night driving but it doesn't... I would suggest it to others in my club...
