The light is very bright, it does not have a switch to turn it on or off, and it falls apart easily. As long as you only need a bright light, it is good.

While many reviews had me leery, I ordered one, and cut the plug, mounting an ordinary light switch/box to my tower, and so far it’s doing what I wanted. The fixture comes with a connection on both sides for convenience, but I’m wondering if they can also be linkable.

Its wonderful to have some light in the back of my server rack, but I can't find a switch on it anywhere.......strange.

That's... it. That's all. If you have a network rack in your basement storage room which is entirely enclosed into what is effectively a Faraday cage, blocking all EMI as well as light, you will need one of these as well.

I bought this to sit at the top of my 18u rack which i have tried my best to make it look clean, but this light is horrible. First theres no hole in the panel to feed the bulky power cord through to connect it to the side of the light tube. It would not have been hard to just have hardwired out the back of the panel for a nice flush/clean look. Also as others have mentioned, theres no on/off switch. Dont waste your time/money. Ill send mine back very soon

The light itself seems to work but the item seemed to have been put together at the last minute. The light was mounted incorrectly and crooked. I had to remount to fit correctly in the case. Also seems to be LED instead of fluorescent and cheaply made. The screws included did not fit the case. Disappointed but will make it work..

We installed this in that back of a server cabinet that just happened to have a downward facing horizontal plate to mount it to. Our server cabinet is in a poorly lit space and this light provided the light we need. It provides ample lighting to perform general tasks like cable management and connecting cables.. If you do not have a horizontal mount so it is downward facing, the light will only provide good lighting on whatever its mounted directly behind. you have to mount it facing downward, upward, or towards the inside of the cabinet. Facing out, it will have a blinding affect.We are happy with it and would purchase again.
