This one fits the 2003 Ford Taurus with the 32V DOHC engine in Bank 2 Sensor 2 (B2S2) position The wire is longer than needed and the clips are unnecessary. I looked the part up on NTK website and they only make this one sensor for both downstream positions so that is why it has the connectors and is longer. From their site: POSITION(S) DOWNSTREAM RIGHT (BANK 1 SENSOR 2), DOWNSTREAM LEFT (BANK 2 SENSOR 2)I just used a pocket screwdriver to remove the two retaining clips and then used a small zip tie and carefully fold the wire to be the same length as the original once I took it off the car. Worked out just fine and my car came with NTK sensors in it (stamped Ford on them as well). Car has 245K miles on it and this sensor just started setting codes. You can rent a removal socket set from a parts store for free. For my car, bank 2 is at the front of the car closest to the radiator and sensor 2 is below the catalytic convertor (plug is close to the oil filter). 4 stars only because the wire is too long and took some modification.

Replacement for OEM oxygen sensor but much more affordable. Arrived in good shape, with anti seize already on the threads, and proper plug and and cord length. Very high quality part. Easy install with included instructions. I was able to clear the trouble code with my reader, so saved a bundle.

There is lots of confusion with O2 sensors! I have mercury mariner 2008 v6 3.0. In photo, you can see the location of the banks. Bank 1 is where cylinder 1 is, which is behind bank 2, bank 2 is in front by radiator. When you go under car, bank 2 sensor 2 is right by the oil filter, and above it, bank 2 sensor 1. Follow exhaust pipe back to bank 1 sensor 2, which is past oil box but not far. Above that sensor, bank 1 sensor 1. Each bank has its own catalytic converter, so on bank 2 sensor 2, it’s right after it’s catalytic converter and bank 2 sensor 1 is before it, same for bank 1, see my exploded view pic, shows the 2 catalytic converters! However, each car type with this engine, escapes, trucks, there are numerous ones, have a different combination of sensors. On mine, the sensor 2 on both banks is downstream and is same kind, sensor 1 same kind. Sensor 2’s is Bosch 15724, NTK 22500, Motorcraft 5l8z9g444a (DY1047). Sensor 1 upstream for both banks, Bosch 15717, NTK 22060, Motorcraft 5l8z9g444f (DY1048). Don’t listen to Amazon, it’s wrong most of the time, it gets them mixed up!! You can see in my pics that cylinder #1 is on bank 1, I wrote where the front of car is, so bank 2 is closest to front of car. Installed this sensor on my car to replace my bank 2 sensor 1 sensor as I had a code P2270. Code is now gone and remains gone! Great buy and my original O2 sensor was NTK as well just like this one and not Bosch!! It was written on my old O2 sensor, so this one is the closest OEM replacement you can find!!!!

Fixed my 2009 Ford Flex 3.5L P0138, P0158, P2096, and P2098 engine codes and check light!Car runs better and got rid of my nasty smelling exhaust.Front sensor was a breeze to replace.Rear was almost impossible to replace! The little bit of play in my O2 socket rounded off the old rusted hex.Found a regular socket that was an exact fit, ground off the tip of the sock so the full hex could be engaged, cut off the old O2 cable cable and fully engaged the socket.Very little room to the socket/O2 sensor as it lines up with the frame!Had to use a ratchet with a pipe extension to break it loose!New one installed easily, but not easy to get to connector clipped behind the valve cover.Worth the effort! So far these are great O2 sensors!Even purchased NTK's trans sensors and they worked out great too!

While I am sure this sensor is functionally the same as the Bank 2, sensor 2 O2 sensor for my '08 Escape, it is NOT set up the same way. Note it has the two retaining clips that hold the Back bank (Bank 1), wiring in place on the rear of the oil pan. The descriptions for this one NTK 22500 (Bank 1, sensor 2) and NTK 22009 (Bank 2, sensor 2) reversed on the product descriptions. I have submitted the correction but I am sure Bezos is too busy counting his $$$ to change it anytime soon. BTW, this one works great, perfect fit for the REAR bank (closest to the firewall) on Escape V6 3.0L engines. Its downstream of the catalytic converter (sensor 2) Easy to access and change. Code PO 2270 is reading OBD II codes.

Exactly as promised. New O2 sensors at a great price. They were delivered on time and in perfect condition. They fit flawlessly. As a mechanic with 30 years experience, I highly recommend replacing the O2 sensors as scheduled in your maintenance schedule. Replacing them is the same as replacing spark plugs or oil.Great seller.
