Honestly, it doesn’t work. The nut would slip right off cracker. The picker for macadamia is dangerous and not sturdy. I guess you get what you pay for.

The AHQiZFX Nut Cracker set is a solid choice for anyone serious about cracking nuts with ease. The stainless steel build is sturdy and looks sharp, while the ergonomic handles make it easy to use. For how dainty these crackers are in stature, they have some heft to them. In hand, they feel extremely robust and durable. They are similar to what you'd get at a higher end seafood restaurant. Having used them on both Dungeness and red rock crab, I can confidently say that these crackers should last for quite a while. The textured handles of the cracker combined with the fact that they are spring loaded, make them extremely easy and comfortable to use even when covered in crab juice. The same can be said about the included pick which also has the textured handle and despite its extremely small size, is built extremely strong. Once you have used this type of cracker it is hard to go back to cheaper versions.

It's seems like a simple device but don't buy it! The nutcracker does not grip the nut and it is almost impossible to crack anything. It looks like a traditional nutcracker but it has a major flaw. The area where you put the nut is supposed to have teeth that grip the nut in place but on this cracker the "teeth" are completely smooth. The nut just slides down. I returned for a refund.
