[the good] This is a very bright light for $30, much brighter than what you'll get at the big box stores for that price. I bought this because I have a z-wave PIR motion sensor that's designed to mount to a basic flood light, turning it into a smart flood light. I wanted the brightness and energy savings of LED but it was actually kind of hard to find a suitable LED flood light that could accomodate. This light's base already has the circular molded part where a motion sensor is mounted in their other product lines. I just took a unibit and drilled that out and my PIR motion sensor mounted in the hole. I had to find a suitable rubber gasket to seal the hole up, but luckily I had one on hand that worked perfectly. So now I have a z-wave motion light on the cheap.[the bad] There were a few things I did not like though. 1 is that there isn't much clearance between where the round part touches the mounting surface and the plastic plate that's inside the round part. It's maybe 1/8" of clearance. That doesn't give you much play to account for mounting challenges or to fit wiring if your junction box is tight. This resulted in a small gap between the light and the mounting surface, where water could easily get into. The included gasket also seems poorly designed. It's a circle with a slightly smaller circle cut into it. You can peel the inner circle away from the outer part if you want. The border between the two circles is literally the exact size of the round part of the light. That means that you aren't able to properly sandwitch the gasket between the light and the mounting surface. That means the gasket much less effective than it could be. I don't understand why would they make it that way. There are of course no instructions mentioning the gasket or why it's designed that way.

Easy to install. Incredibly bright compared to my old halogen bulbs which gobbled up electricity. My only gripe was the foam gaskets which barely hold onto the thin rim. But my lights aren't in the weather so it wasn't an issue.
