I bought this to put out on my lanai to connect a smart outdoor plug to a Dynatrap mosquito trap. So far it’s kept the plugs dry during the resent storms. The quality seems good and it’s a good size for a small power strip. I’m pleased with it.

Outdoor Electrical Box Waterproof by Clatoon (Large)*5/5 ☆ Rating*"A durable, waterproof solution"I'm very happy with this Outdoor Electrical Waterproof Box by Clayton. They come in two sizes medium and large. I opted for the large (12.8 x 8.2 x 5 in) and it's working great for what I need it for which is to protect my AquaMiracle pond Aerator pump and lines.It came with instructions and hardware for hanging.It has 7 cable entry ports which are equipped with rubber gaskets and cable clamps which are suitable for wires with a diameter of 0.03-0.39” (0.8-10mm).The box itself is heavy duty made of reinforced PP material and can support a load of 220 pounds. The lid attaches securely and tightly by two latches located on each side of the box.It has achieved an IP54 waterproof rating, which allows it to easily protect the equipment inside during rainy, snowy, windy, and other adverse weather conditions.It's spring now, so I eagerly wait to see how well it's Waterproof this winter. I will update accordingly.As for price, i believe it's priced well, a little lower than others out there which is a good thing.I recommend!

I’m in the process of adding some features to my pond. I will eventually do a more permanent installation of a buried electrical wire and weather proof outlets. But I wanted something to use over the next several months that was basically just a weather proof box to plug things into an extension cord and this box works wonderfully. It a very simple design and doesn’t feel particularly heavy duty (nor fragile) but it does everything I need it to do and there is plenty of space in there for me to be able to plug 2 pumps and a light into a small power strip that attaches to an extension cord. Shortly after I installed it we had about a week of near straight of rain and when I checked on things once we finally had a break in the weather the insides were all perfectly dry. If you need to be able to make some cord connections like that outside and are looking for a way to make is weather proof I would highly recommend checking out this box. Sometimes a basic simple design is the best.

The beauty of this medium box is its size because it's large enough to accommodate a three-way splitter and all attached cords (see photo) without being as large as the type that can fit a power strip or the like. On the other extreme, I have the enclosures that protect a single union of two extension cords, but sometimes you need to split and don't want a giant box in the lawn.My only objection is to the warning sticker, which should be provided separately for people like me who want the thing to blend into the landscape. Fortunately I was able to peel it off intact.
