I have used this tool maybe 5 times at most. It broke tonight at the joint while attempting to make this shavings of aged Parmesan cheese. Not much stress and the head just flew off. My previous one, with a laminated wooden handle, lasted for over 40 years until someone misplaced it. Very disappointed.

Item works great just a bit hard to clean. Still would recommend.

I bought this for slivering truffles and Parmesan cheese, however it works great on vegetables too, cucumbers especiallly. Good for small items. It is sturdy and quite sharp, so care is needed, but still safer than a mandolin.

It does the job, and seems well-built. I've had it for 3 years now, and I can't complain.

Decided to take a chance and order this to core larger sized tomatoes. And wow, it works perfect. High quality. Used it to core a few apples, and it’s outstanding. Wished we had it years ago.

Cheese planes with a serrated blade are difficult to find, but necessary to smoothly get through cheese! This is the nicest one I have owned. The handle shaft is triangular making it very comfortable and easy to get a good grip. I found this cheese plane in a kitchen store in Ellsworth Maine. I bought all three that they had for myself and my sons. I wanted another as a gift and found the brand on Amazon for several dollars less!

I've been using this lemon zester 3-4x per week, and it's an excellent addition to our kitchen. It's built solid, feels great in my hand, and makes quick work of large lemons. The peel comes off in long, thin strings.I also use it on lemons for my "mean green" juicing recipe (check out the movie "Fat, Sick, and Nearly Dead" for details), so there's plenty of lemon rind left on for extraction in a masticating juicer. Highly recommended and, as usual, excellent German quality from Kuchenprofi.

It's one of those few times when I've been screwed by the Amazon reviews. One point for being hollow and one more for looking cool, but what else does it have to offer? The tip looks cool with the two claw looking things, but what am I gonna do with it? The blade on the front is dull enough that I can press my finger hard on it without bleeding. The serrated blade behind it is also dull and thick: Yeah, it can cut hard cheese like it's supposed to but makes a crumbly mess. This one is collecting dust in my drawer while one of my average serrated steak knives do all the cheese slicing.

This knife cuts hard cheeses very well. It is durable and has held up well although I have only ever hand washed it. One downside is you have to have a spare opening in your butchers block for it or some kind of knife guard because it does not come with one and I don't like leaving a very sharp knife hanging out in my utensil drawer.
