Thought these would be a bit more stout and robust, but they are holding up a panel without issues.

Easy to install work fantastic nice and small but very strong. Grills fit tight and look perfect . My speaker grills are 16”x36” x 3/4” thick x 1.125” wide strips of plywood and they have no problem holding grills in place

Much smaller than expected. Doesn't hold as well as expected.

Borat's wife would snap this off, so be gentle. It was significantly more delicate than I expected and I snapped one of the male ends while I was fiddling with finding the right drill bit to make the holes. I was able to find a tiny wood screw and fashion my own replacement male part, but it would have been nice if they included one or two additional pieces so that meat-fingers like me could get a mullligan. My advice is to drill and work your hole such that you can use finger pressure to push the plastic into the holes. If you try to seat these things with, say, a hammer or some pliers - you will bust the plastic. One star deducted for being very delicate.Anyway, they do hold nicely and work well - pulling the speaker grill on and off takes very little force.

These were smaller than I thought so I'll provide some information here that other may find useful. When connected together the end-to-end length is slightly more than 3/4".The diameter of the base with the pin or the cap is 0.485", just under 1/2"The amount of force required to un-mate them is pretty small, you can easily pull them apart with your fingers.Having said that, I think that these would work fine for a speaker grill that is say around 10" square or smaller. My application is much larger so these won't work well at all. I'm not going to take much off for this since the dimensions were given but I would suggest to the seller that he provide a frame of reference so the customer could make a better informed decision. For example, these are best suited for small desktop speakers or something like that. I only paid six bucks so its no big loss and I'll likely buy from the same seller if he has what I need.

When looking at these I had noticed a few reviews that stated these would not work well in MDF. This is not true. I had to test drill several holes in a test piece, but found the perfect size for them. Once I determined the proper size and drilled the holes in the grill, I had to press them in with pliers. They fit perfect and show no signs of pulling out. I used them for an in wall sub woofer grill cover and they are holding great.

I used a 15/64 bit to set the male pieces and 23/64 bit to set the female pieces. The drill bit sizes should be listed in the description! They work very well but should be set in hard wood. Particle board or pine doesn't work as well. Good stuff. I would buy them again.

I have not finished my grill covers yet, but have installed the grill guides in the speaker boxes and the frames for the grill material and these seem to work just as expected. Once I get the grill material on the frames, these guides will help complete my boxes and give then that professional appearance of speakers I payed a lot of money for at an audio shop. Use the right products, they really don't cost that much, and will give your project the finishing touch.
