I've used this kit for several repairs, and I now have a good idea of its capabilities. It definitely has everything you might need, including materials for weld reinforcement/finishing and multiple different tips. For larger-area repairs I find that the triangular tip with the pipe through the center is the most useful as it allows you slowly feed molten plastic directly to the heated surface. The iron has plenty of power. Most of my repairs have held up, but it definitely helps to incorporate the mesh screen or physical undercuts to add support. My only issue with this kit is a lack of clear repair instructions or at least strategies for plastic repair. In general you can't necessarily join dissimilar plastics because they have different material properties, but there's no clear identification of which plastic rod is which or what temperature setting is recommended for each of the various feedstock types included in this kit. I had to return to the Amazon listing several times to compare the colors of all the rods and try to sort them according to the product description. You're pretty much on your own as far as repairs, so be prepared for some trial and error.

This entire deluxe kit is nothing short of impressive! I like the actual plastic welder a lot, but also found the entire kit to be one of the most comprehensive kits of its kind that I’ve ever personally used or have before seen. It’s clear that the manufacturer desired to make this kit an amazing value! It’s stocked with a generous amount of useful supplies in comparison to similar kits that I’ve previously used. I appreciate the design of this particular plastic welder as its form factor is the same as that of a standard-size soldering iron, as opposed to being more akin to handheld soldering gun. There’s a plethora of upsides to this form factor with the only downside being that the gun-style plastic welder is compatible with plastic staples. Furthermore, although great at applying staples, the gun-style plastic welders generally become far too hot to be effective at most small repairs and touch ups. This particular model of plastic welder is very different as the precise temperature controls will help prevent burning plastic specifically during smaller repairs and touch ups. With its form factor being so similar to a standard-size soldering iron, repairs requiring more detail and control could be performed considerably easier. Getting four welding tips is a very welcome addition that will only make this deluxe kit even more useful. The product description boasts about having UL Certification, the gold standard in electrical safety! 100W is also an ideal amount of power when you want fast heat. I believe that this will be an extremely useful tool and will actually will go great with my current gun-style plastic welder as I could now reserve the latter for stapling plastic alone. I would use this plastic welder exclusively for the smaller, more detailed repairs, and those requiring very precise heat. There is just ONE thing that would have made this kit even better and that would have been the inclusion of some kind of toolbox or proper storage container to help keep everything neatly inside of. That’s certainly no dealbreaker though.Ultimately, this deluxe kit is an amazing value that I must highly recommend!

My perfectly running dryer decided that I needed to buy it a new $279 door after 15 years.Yeah - dryer works perfectly just the screw holes in the plastic cover on the door cracked.I've never done plastic repair before so instead of watching some youtube videos, I just did the guy thing and went to it.Took me about 30 minutes to figure out how hot to set the iron and which rod worked best.I can say that it might look better if I watched a video or two but the repair is hidden and the wife is happy now that the dryer looks good as new.Happy wife, Happy life (and some money in your pocket

Bought this on Amazon Australia, no where did it say 110 volt item. Looks good but can't use without a transformer.

Great versatile plastic weld kit...There's a few adaptors that make it easy to work from different angles..It definitely outperforms the HF one I was using for a long time.I'm hoping the tips in this set will also outlast the HF tips, which start to melt and bend after a few uses..So far, so good though.. It's already helped me repair a cracked hinged top on a garden hose reel enclosure.

This is a nice plastic welding kit. It comes with everything needed to make repairs to plastic parts. I have done some testing with this kit on some scrap plastic part to practice using it. It's fairly easy to use. I hope to use this on my cars front bumper that has a big crack in it. Just got to get around to taking it off of the car. This kit looks like it will do the job.

This is a good plastic welding kit.It works very well if you know how to use it.This provides much stronger repair than using any glue as this melts the parts together.I like this kit as it has digital temperature control and it has a plastic rod feeding tip which is a must-have for plastic repair as far as I'm concerned but most plastic welding kits don't come with one. This is a good kit and works very well.

The plastic welder welds fantastically, absolutely no complaints, it heats up and melts plastic and the other attachments work well. The only complaints I have is with the design of the welder itself. The controls being on the actual welder makes me nervous when holding especially when welding large plastics such as 3d printed armor pieces, whenever I need to push on the welder. I would have preferred some rubber even just a cover so i can hold it a little more comfortably. The other main complaint i have is the lack of a light. For the prices its hard to hold it against them but an LED would have really helped when working on hard to reach places. Overall its hard to really complain about the welder. Mostly just some nit picks here and there about the design, would absolutely recommend.
