Due to the DP++ standard, this adapter can't take pixel clocks over 165MHz. HOWEVER. At 165MHz and below those are the sharpest images you will ever see on a CRT without a dedicated VGA port or a more expensive active adapter.I managed to pull off 1600x1200@60Hz using CRU.

I give this 5 stars as it is a simple product. It does what you would expect and is a fair quality. It is plastic, but as long as you are not using this for anything heavy duty (why a person would do this i do not know...)it should work great. Price is good and I would recommend.

I have a new computer I built, but I can't use it yet because this passive adapter won't convert the signal, so make sure weather or not you need a passive or an active converter. The screw up is on my end so I have no complaints about the device, though had it said "passive adapter" in the description, I might have been prompted to do a bit of research first.
