I have a very compact 13 inch laptop and the build in speakers are not very powerful - even less so when the lid is closed, which I like to do in my at-home docked settings. It is a very powerful, very carry-friendly unit and I was looking for a home office solution remediating the weak volume problem at home when docked - on the road I usually use a headset. This adds volume and now my setup at home is good enough for conferencing. People say voice clarity is good, though I didn't have complaints with the built-in mic of my laptop neither, not with the lid open. This might really shine if used in a conference room setting with multiple people around the table but I can't say, I have not used it in that capacity yet though it might come up. Sound and voice abilities are good and I like the fact it has a mute button, so I don't have to find and use the mouse to mute and can just press the button - it is much faster. It was only $20 or so when I bought it on a sale and it was well worth it - solved my immediate problem, added the convenient button with red-light indicator when muted and may have other future benefits like omnidirectional multi mics which I am not currently leveraging but might at some point. If you already have a laptop with powerful enough speakers - not sure how much value this would add if only used in a single-user setup.

I have used a different product that looks like this at work and my home office for years and swear by it. However, that one is an expensive product, so for my son's desk, I bought this one, and have been very impressed with its performance. The speaker volume is just a tab bit lower, but sufficient and very full sounding, and voice pickup feels just the same. Great value!

Sound quality is great and mic captures voice well, even from distance. However this goes out of sync wirh MS Teams sometimes and then Mute and Call buttons don't work. You've to disconnect it and connect again.

I tried it as soon as it arrived and it works a treat. No set up required, just plug it in to the USB port. Sound is very clear and I was told that the microphone also works clearly. Can't believe I never got one of these before given how long I've been working from home. Based on my experience, I would definitely recommend this to anyone, especially at only 26 quid!(Oh, it's great for listening to music too when not on calls)

For the money this is fantastic. If you want a speakerphone type device for your WFH activities that has Teams integration, it's worth a try. However, there are some pretty annoying issues that I wish they would have addressed before putting it out on the market. The button/label/cord layout is bizarre. Which way is supposed to be "up"? Is the "Poly" logo supposed to be horizontal, which results in the cord being at 11 o'clock, the mute button being at 10 o'clock and the answer/end button being at 4 o'clock? Or should I orient the thing so those buttons are at 9 and 3?Lighting. . . a full 10% of men are colorblind to one degree or another. Using a red light ring to indicate "muted" and a white light to indicate "not muted" is not ideal from a UI perspective. It's better than red and green for sure, but why not illuminate the Mute button instead? The have the Teams logo illuminated which seems to be a wasted LED. Put it on the Mute button instead, if you only have the budget for one LED, Poly.Volume. . . there appears to be a function in this device to automatically adjust the volume after several seconds of call activity while it gauges the volume levels of the call. I would prefer this to be a selectable feature, whether in software or as a hardware toggle. It's great when it finally figures out what the volume should be, but it's annoying to have to miss several seconds of the call sometimes or blast yourself out when you try to manually raise the volume to the appropriate level.Audio clarity. . . fantastic, actually (once the level settles to the right volume)! You can hear this speaker clearly from an adjacent room. It's very well-tuned for spoken audio. I have it placed on my monitor stand and it can vibrate there a bit at times. I fixed that by setting it on a cork coaster. I wish they would have made the padding on the bottom a bit softer to absorb that vibration better.Bottom line: I'd buy this again and even recommend it to others. But 5-star reviews should actually deserve 5 stars. This could be a 5-star item and I'd even pay a few bucks more if they fixed a few of the annoyances.

Picks up voice well and speaker is plenty loud. However it has some annoying qualities. There is a delay when muting and unmuting the microphone. Volume changes to much per button click and the volume voice feedback is annoying.

its plug and play, but if it does not work the first time restart your machine with it plugged in and it should work.overall i am very happy with my purchase, i live in teams calls on the go. with my computer i have wanted an all in one device for a while, this one works great. speaker is clear, mic is clear, mute functions works in in teams. can answer calls with it too, no need to move the mouse over to pick up. over all a perfect device.

For $20, this works ridiculously well. It has better microphone clarity than my Microsoft speakerphone that cost three times as much. The clarity of the speaker is good too; I have no problems understanding others on conference calls. Though the speaker does not output music very well, but voice is more important for me. I wish it had a USB-C connection instead of the standard USB-A. But that's a minor gripe.
