Used this to help with painting. I used to use halogen lights and hadn't been happy with less that I had used prior, but this on worked well eventhough it's not the brightest, it's very bright and better price than some of the major tool brands. Remote and how it's folds up is nice. Longterm though I'm not sure it would hold up to much construction abuse. It's nice that they have reasonably priced battery adapters as well.

I like it. It's very bright on high. I used it on low (bright enough) and it lasted about 5 hours on my Dewalt 6Ah battery.

I was very happy that this light does work with my Makita Battery with the additional adapter. However this light is very power hungry and a 5.0 AMP Makita Battery only lasts 1.5 hours. I am a little concerned that the light might damage my battery, but I am happy to report that the light will shut off before completely draining battery. When light cuts off and I remove the Makita battery, it still shows that it has 1 power bar remaining, so that is good. (Makita batteries have built in remaining power bar on battery)However, after 1 week of use, I did order the $40 A/C adapter so that I could plug it in to electrical socket if one was close by. Ultimately I purchased the light to work in the yard where no A/C was available and it works for that. But I have found that I enjoy using it as a pool light, because it is so bright that is lights up a 30ft x 20 ft pool deck adequately. You can use this light to light up a basketball goal in the driveway and a lot of other fun stuff. Wish I had this when I was a teenager. As everyone else has said, one major design flaw is that you cannot completely fold up the 3 tripod feet if a battery adapter or the A/C power supply is mounted on the light. This means when you are trying to carry light from place to place, the feet keep springing open. The velcro strap needs to be about 4 inches longer, so that you can wrap around the feet with the battery adapter in place. They put the power port on the bottom of the light, about 3 inches off of the ground and in the middle of the 3 tripod legs. So in order for you to fold the legs up and carry the light you have to remove your battery. Kind of a major problem if you need to carry light from one spot to another inside of a new construction house! For me, I am just dragging it around the yard, so I can carry with the tripod feet sticking out in all directions.

I bought this light primarily for night fishing from the shore. I had been using a pair of propane Coleman Northstar lanterns but even on the lowest setting this work light is brighter than both of them together. It's also much easier to direct the light where you want it. It's nice not having to deal with buying propane or the hissing and fragile mantles and glass globes either. The light folds up nice and compact and it's easy to carry even with my hands full of gear so now I only have to make one trip. Even in near freezing temps I was able to get a little over 3 hours out of the battery on the medium setting. Low is supposed to be 6 hours so with a second battery on the low setting it can go all night and still be plenty bright. The battery pack does take a very long time to charge but it's an 8.8 amp so that's pretty normal. It's well built and seems sturdy and comes with a nice case with shoulder strap. There are connections for a strap on the light but only one strap so a second strap for easy transport while out of the case would have been nice.A couple of power option suggestions...I'd really like an adapter with battery terminal clamps so we have the option of running the light off a 12V deep cycle without having to mess around with an inverter.I have a bunch of 20V power tool batteries but they are Porter Cable and Black & Decker. PC, B&D and Stanley use the same battery platform but there isn't an official adapter for them. I was able to get around this by purchasing the Powersmith Makita adapter and a third-party OC/B&D/Stanley-to-Makita adapter but an official adapter for these batteries would be nice and add a significant number of compatible batteries.Overall I'm super happy with this light. Happy enough that I bought a second one to cover more area. If we just had the adapters for a deep cycle and PC/B&D/Stanley batteries it would be perfect.

The unit itself is well built! I've been using it for the last two days as temporary lighting out at various jobsite that do not have permanent lighting or power. It will light up a decent size room. However, after running my light for 15-20 mins, the lights would start to flicker than shut off/on. Got to be pretty annoying after the third time. Thought it was a fluke til I went to another jobsite, and it happened again. Unfortunately, the window for return has closed. Waiting for tech support to reply back. It is an inconvenience for the price I paid and for safety reasons, I may not be able to use it much longer for its lack of consistent operation. Another setback, in my opinion, there is only 1 setting, no dimmer or multi setting option. There is another feature that blinks (pretty useless) in my opinion. You would think with a remote it would be an awesome function and justification for the price. My cordless Dewalt and Milwaukee tripod lights put out almost the same intensity and have multiple light settings and adjustable heights. Hopefully my situation is random. All in all, I still think it's a great work light, but because of the flickering and shutting off and on I give it 3 starsUpdate: 21 Dec 2019No contact from tech support. Light buzzes after a few minutes and constantly turns off and on. Remote control has been checked and functioning properly with battery. Guess I got a lemon
