My 14 year old is pretty skinny still.The shorts for his age is kind of big on him.Even these don't have a draw string on them, he says they hug his waist just fine!

While definitely on the thin side, my son loved these shorts! The fit was good for him, not too big in the waist. But definitely summer only shorts

After about two or three washes these shorts are trash. They were coming apart at the seems. Do waste your money unless you are in a crunch like myself and just need them for a weekend. My son can only sleep in them due to the holes.
