Biased part of the review (see title).This was $200 at the time of ordering. That is great for you, $130 is much better, but I'm tired of the bait and switch prices on Vine. Amazon does nothing about this either, that I know of.Now for the unbiased part of the reviewIt does what it does, ie melts metal. It does it pretty well, and comes with most of what you'll need to get started. Gloves are just okay; I'd get better ones. For the $130 they want now it's a hell of a deal though if you want to get started smelting metals.

If you are interested in try out melting cans or old copper wire, then this is a good starter kit. You'll need to be nice to it though as it isn't for long use at one time. So you might get 1-2 crucibles worth of can's poured out (don't overfill) before you should let it rest and cool down. Overall, it works great, just be aware of your surroundings, how dry things are, etc and definitely get goggles, better gloves, a leather apron and some good pants / chaps as metal (when turned into liquid) is hot and safety is highly recommended.Other things to note, your crucible will wear down over time. You will probably replace it 4+ times before you need to replace the rest of the unit, but overall this is a good beginners kit. Use it to learn.
