I am thinking of returning it. While my dosimeter card does indicate that it emits UV-C, and it is generating some ozone, the Kill-a-Watt shows it max out at 70 watts. That's already a 30% drop from the advertised power output (we're paying for 100 watts, only getting 70 watts). Generally speaking, mercury lamps are only 30-35% efficient in outputting UV-C which means a 70 watt light is putting out ~21 W worth of UV-C light vs 30 W of UV-C at the advertised 100 watts.The difference in UV-C wattage has a direct impact on dose and time calculations, as well as affect over distance covered due to inverse square law.While it's doing some work, it isn't like this is a cheap light.. I could see keeping it if 30% of the cost is returned. As-is, this appears falsely advertised.

I have another ozone generator that is a little more powerful than this one, but doesn’t have have UV light which I was really interested in trying. It does a pretty good job at odor removal and I can only assume that the UV light is doing its intended function. It is fairly priced, in a convenient tower design, and is easy to use. I have used it to remove mold, mikdew and pet odors successfully. Although, one room did take three rounds to completely remove the very strong odor.

I tell you if you are looking into buying this, do it! It’s well worth it. So easy to set up and use. Anyone can use it!

I loved this product. It does work. I recently bought a used vehicle that some smoked ecigs in and it was bad. Ecigs are worse than real cigs. Nothing I tried worked, but this ultraviolet light did. I am so happy I decided to try this. It’s been two years and now my car smells like brand new. Just don’t want to use it unless you not present and be sure air the place out prior to going back inside the car or room or whatever. O3 is not to safe to breath but it will get rid of any bad odors.
