The size states 21 inches and it didn't even ho over my child head. Too much for price paid

This is such a nice item for designed safety that keeps dignity in mind. The little hat design is adorable and the chin strap is definitely there, but it's so much better than a full on helmet. I will say it was very stiff when it came out of the packaging and I actually worked it a hand by bit before attempting to put it on my kiddo. A tip would be to measure your kids head, don't guess, this is too expensive an item to get the wrong size. There really is no give here so keep that in mind when shopping. It may be wiser to order a size up, especially if you're thinking your kid has a good bit of growing to do. I like that the layers come apart, that makes for easy cleaning and I think we will probably use this for a long time.
