I CONSIDER THESE TENT STAKES AMONG THE BEST. I HAVE & HAD MANY VARIANTS OF TENT STAKES OVER THE YEARS INCLUDING PLASTIC, ALUMINUM & STEEL RANGING FROM 6" TO 14". SOIL & WIND CONDITIONS DETERMINE WHAT WORKS BEST FOR EACH APPLICATION OR IN MY CASE EACH ADVENTURE. IN MY EXPERIENCE 8" STEEL STAKES ARE MY "GO TO" SIZE & THESE 'RIY' TENT STAKES ARE NO EXCEPTION. THESE ARE EASY TO STRIKE INTO THE GROUND THANKS TO THE LARGE TEXTURED STEEL HEAD, SLENDER & SUPER STRONG (WILL NOT BEND) SHAFT & DURABLE POINTED TIP. EQUIPPED WITH ROPE 'TIE DOWN STYLE' MOUNTS GIVING YOU A CHOICE TO USE THE HOOK OR LOOP OPTION. I LOVE USING THE HOLE IN THE MOUNT TO REMOVE THE ANCHORED STAKE BY SLIDING ANOTHER STAKE INTO THE HOLE, THEN LIFTING UP & EASILY OUT.THESE TENT STAKES ARE VERY WELL MADE & SHOULD LAST A LIFETIME. THERE IS NO REASON TO SEARCH FURTHER. PRICED TO SELL AT A GOOD PRICE MAKE THESE A GREAT VALUE. ALSO COMES WITH 4 EA BRIGHT GREEN 10 FT ROPES AND DURABLE STORAGE BAG.

Pretty hard to mess these up, just make sure to bring a hammer of some sort. Basically some long steel nails with a welded hook. You're not going to want these for backpacking but if you're sick of your tarps and tents and stuff blowing away car camping and similar, these are great. Easy to use, you don't have to screw them into the ground and they hold really well in firm soil.

These are my favorite style of tent stakes. Easy to pound in, easy to tie to or hook on a loop, generally easy to use. They are heavy - I use 'em for "car camping", they might not be so great for backpacking. They're inexpensive - at about a buck apiece, you can't beat the price. I think I prefer the 10" or 12" version slightly, though.

I recently ordered the 32-piece set of 8 inch tent stakes. I actually got these to use with our yard decor. These arrive in two velvet bags. The bags have the size and what's inside, which is a nice touch. The stakes that come with yard decor is usually plastic and flimsy. These work well and are the right size. I like the high visibility lines that come with them. These don't bend. I wish the bottom was auger style but these work nicely in our yard.

These are very sturdy tent stakes. Would certainly work fine in hard, compacted soil. When light weight stakes would be bending. The trade off is the weight. These are great for car camping. I would not choose them for multi-day backpacking. Eight stakes weigh just a little over 15 ozs. Of course, if you know you are going to be dealing with very rocky, hard soil then these stakes are what you need. The listing says these stakes weigh 3.75oz each. This is not correct. I weighed them on an accurate digital scale and they are 1.9 oz each. Much lighter than the listing gives. The listing also says unbreakable and I'd says that fairly true. These are 8 inch steel spikes. Longer than most tent stakes. That helps in looser soils. The included guy lines are a bit smaller dimension than I choose to use, but they are very reflective and seem strong enough. Reflective is good. I don't like tripping over guy lines at night. The included storage bag is very nice, thick fabric. Should last a long time. Country of origin is China.

These steel stakes came in a nice carry bag and are heavy duty. I especially like the hooks, which are long enough to hold a lanyard-style rope or even a small gauge nylon rope no matter how you tie it on, and have a hole for additional options. The stakes are solid, and seem to hold up well to hammering. They appear to be coated - maybe this is the anti-corrosion treatment, I'm not sure - but they are smooth to the touch. I haven't used them over a period of time because it's winter now, but I don't expect any issues at all. They are higher quality than other tent stakes I've ordered online. The storage bag is also pretty nice. It's heavy material that won't allow the stakes to poke through unless you seriously stress it, and easily holds all of the stakes.

We do tent camping here in Florida, where most of the ground is a heavily compacted, crushed limestone with some rocks mixed in. Our tent came with a dozen or so standard stakes. Unfortunately, these stakes are so thin and flimsy that we’ve bent almost all of them by now as we tried to hammer them into this hard ground cover. And once they’re bent, it is very difficult to straighten them back again. So these stakes are going to be fantastic for us. They’re so thick and heavy duty that I don’t see how this hard ground would prevent them from penetrating it. These are a must for anyone that does camping on hard surfaces. They’re also longer than the standard stakes and have a large nail cap that will make hammering them so much easier. These came together with four ropes, not sure if we’ll use them but are keeping them for now. Also, a soft bag to keep them together. Overall, a great solution for an old age problem.

If you are looking to stake down a small house, these are for you. They are everything that they claim to be in the description. Unfortunately, I'm an idiot and bought steel tent stakes for backpacking and I'm pretty sure these stakes weigh almost as much as my tent. But that's a me problem.
