We have a small 10ft above ground pool for my daughter. Smaller pools like this don't have many options for automatic cleaning, and I've tried several devices like this to make the job easer and less time consuming. Of all of those I have tried, this one is my favorite. It takes a-little bit of time to get used to the way it works and get a rhythm down, but once you do it works well, is easy to use, and not super messy like the ones with a mesh bag. I would highly recommend this to anyone with a smaller above ground pool!

Unlike the various rechargeable models we have tried, there is nothing much to break down, which is good. Ir works on a suction principle, basically you are putting your thumb on the top of the straw. The bad news is, as soon as it fills with water the suction stops, so you have to be really quick and coordinated to pick stuff up with it.

Worked great getting the particles out of the floor of the hot tub. Uses simple vacuum suction so it takes several times to vaccum then return to water. Clever product.

This thing is super fun! It works like magic, no pumping just some sort of reverse air pressure science stuff, but you literally just put your thumb over the tube and submerge it, and then it sucks up all the sand but the water drains back out. 10 out of 10!

I was skeptical about whether this could truly work since there is no battery power or electricity involved but I am really happy with it and find that it works great for getting small bits of grit, sand, tree debris, etc out of the footwell of my spa/hot tub. It isn't hard to put together and directions are included on the package as well as in the included direction sheet. There is even a free "scum bug" for your spa/hot tub (I've used scum bugs and scum bugs for many years and they work great so a nice bonus!). You simply place your finger over the hole on the end of the pole in order to tightly cover and seal the hole and then insert the bottom part into the hot tub. Once the clear bottom part is in the hot tub and over the debris, remove your finger from covering the hole and you hear a "swoosh" and water begins to fill the clear plastic tube along with the debris (that goes into the filter area of the device). You then bring the vacuum above the water line and the water falls back into the hot tub. You can do this over and over again, depending on how much debris is on the floor of the tub. This device is simple to use and helpful to remove smaller sand, dirt, tree debris, small bugs etc that may have fallen into the hot tub and made their way to the foot well where its more difficult to remove using your pool/spa screen. I'm happy with this spa vacuum and would recommend it to friends and family. I've included a few photos to show more up close detail.

We have a small vinyl pool that invariable collects sand and small bits of debris that are either blown in or swimmers bring in on their feet. They are too small to be taken out with a skimmer, but using a powered vacuum always seems like overkill.Enter this cordless, siphon-powered cleaning wand. The concept is simple, using water's need to seek its own level to suck debris in with the moving water and trap it in a filtered chamber that lets the cleaned water back into the pool. Testing it in a bucket, the suction force is strong enough to pick up sand and small pebbles, and the dirt chamber is relatively easy to empty.I look forward to keeping our pool floor clean with this item once the weather warms up. I will update this review if I encounter any issues while using it. Highly recommended for those with a similar pool or spa.
