At 75 yo (195 lbs) I have chronic right knee pain, even in bed. During the day I often feel my right leg is "cold" from lack of blood supply... like I'm wearing a tourniquet that's strangling circulation. I do a lot of sitting. I bought the Rumblex Plus 4D because I tried a vibration plate at my gym, and it seemed to help.The Rumblex Plus is way better than the one at the gym. If you have knee pain the 4D motion really gets into the "ache". On the 1st try (15 min at level 7 of 60), the pain was gone the whole day. I couldn't believe it. It came back the next day and another treatment mostly got rid of the pain. I think your body starts adapting to the vibration motion and affects muscles, strengthening them. I felt like I walked a mile in just a 10 minute session, and I was actually perspiring when I stepped off. I placed my feet at the extreme right/left positions for maximum effect. I suppose smaller vibration plates don't allow a choice of stance. After 3 days my legs felt stronger, like I'd been doing a lot of leg strengthening exercises at the gym or a lot of walking. Curiously the leg machine exercises at the gym are sort of painful, but the Rumblex is painless and does a better job.After I got off the platform, I was feeling tired/worked-out, just like my usual 2 hrs sessions at the gym. It seems to be slowly building up my legs, butt and lower back while simultaneously reducing and often completely eliminating the right knee pain I was initially concerned about.The Rumblex Plus is built well, big, and heavy at almost 50 lbs. The UPS man had to help me get the box through the door. I needed my wife to help me position it down our basement. The motors in this thing must be very heavy duty. Even at Level 1 (slowest), this thing is Powerful. I positioned it where I could hold on to the wall to help maintain my balance. (At level 10 with forward/back vibration enabled I need to hold on to something to guarantee my balance). I have not tried the supplied handheld support cords yet.Mode 1 (forward/back vibration motion) even at lowest levels will put enough vibrations through your body that watching TV is mostly impossible, it looks like the TV screen is wobbling. Haha. Modes 2 and 3 don't affect vision/TV watching (and also don't affect balance).All modes can be combined in any combination. Using all modes together (4D) was my original reason for getting this model. I wanted the variation in vibrations, which I thought would help my knee, and they do. I think the variation in vibrations (think of it as wave-like energy) is therapeutic.The wrist worn Remote Control is ideal. No bending down to setup or change your settings during a session. There's an LED display, a Count Down session timer, acknowledgement tones when it starts, when you change a setting through the Remote, and warnings tones when it's about to slow down and stop/end the session. There are built-in, preprogrammed vibration Routines you can use, instead of running it manually.I use the Rumblex Plus daily. At present I'm only using it once a day, but as my legs start to strengthen, I may add a second treatment just before bed. I'm actually impressed with the unit.I am very happy with this purchase. It is impressively helping my bad knee and seems to be building up my leg and back muscles (which I didn't expect). Highly recommended, especially for anyone with persistent knee/lower back issues.
