Easy to set up, easy to use. I use it to scan all my documents and even business cards. I scanned a bunch of photos with ease. Great product!

This scans great. Love the single-pass double- sided scanning. Scans quick. The software interface looks like it was made in 1984. They should work on that. Printer and scanner software is just plain bad and buggy from Canon, HP and Epson. This software functions and looks better than I have seen from those manufacturers. Hope the scanner is reliable over time.

Very compact and efficient. I purchased this scanner to replace my RAVEN scanner when it failed and the company went out of business. I was mourning the loss of my scanner and chose the SnapScan with trepidation. It was all for nothing; this is a quality machine with a very small footprint, great for home offices with limited space.I have scanned hundreds of items with no problem. This is a great way to improve your filing efficiency and it offers an easy way to retrieve documents if you use a logical naming convention.

It's incredible how something so small can make such a significant impact.Nothing matches the Scansnap's capability. I've used the scanner to scan 1000 pages of documents that belonged to my parents. The ability to scan both sides simultaneously is an incredible time saver. You can set up multiple types of scans so that it becomes a one-button push.

The ScanSnap iX1600 Premium is hands down one of the best document scanners I’ve used. It’s fast, efficient, and incredibly easy to use, making it a fantastic value for the price.Setup is a breeze, and the user-friendly software makes scanning, organizing, and saving documents effortless. Whether you’re scanning to a computer, cloud storage, or mobile device, the process is seamless. The touch screen interface is intuitive, and the scanner handles everything from crisp text documents to detailed receipts and business cards with ease. For the price, you’re getting a high-quality, reliable scanner that streamlines your workflow and just works. If you need a powerful, no-hassle document scanner, the ScanSnap iX1600 Premium is an excellent choice!

I don't often write reviews of the products I purchase, but this has so exceeded my expectations I feel a need to submit my thoughts. I've only had it for a month but have scanned several thousand pages so far.First of all, it was the same price to purchase with the extended warranty by choosing my vendor, and it came quickly and new. But which I understood it would be "plug and play" I didn't realize that a packet of 40 (or more--I've scanned up to 60 pages at a time) pages would come through single- or double-sided depending on whether there was information on the reverse, would automatically scan some pages as color, if color was detected, and others as black-and-white or grayscale, and it would faithfully feed card stock, copier paper, cut-out newspaper articles, and business cards in the same stack of papers, faithfully feeding each (thick or thin, 8.5" wide or 2.5" wide) so long as nothing was stapled together. This is one of my very favorite purchases over the past few years.

I go this one to replace to old one I have had for 10 years. This one is much faster and the software is easy to use. I do have issues with the double feeding when I am trying to add more documents to the stack currently being scanned. A larger feed tray would be great and replacement scanner glass as the missed staple may scratch the glass causing a permanent line through every document.

I bought a Fujitsu fi5110EOX scanner in 2005 and liked it so much I bought a second one used in 2017. Both finally succumbed to rubber roller rot by 2024. The fi5110EOX had been a great scanner for the price, despite its paper-feeding quirks, and I figured that the similarly priced ScanSnap iX1600 would be a suitable replacement 19 years later. The first thing I scanned flew through the iX1600 so fast I thought something was wrong. Nope! It's many times faster than the fi5110EOX.Summary:1) Faster scanning then many, even commercial grade printer-scanners costing thousands of $.2) Scans much straighter than the fi5110EOX, even for narrow receipts.3) Scans thick stacks of normal paper and NEVER misfeeds. Really!4) A stack may contain a mixture of different size sheets - it still feeds straight without jamming5) Scans thicker media than the fi5110EOX, even stacked6) Cannot handle stack with a mix of different thicknesses (that's asking too much)7) I haven't tested scanning from underneath - haven't needed it8) The software included with the iX1600 works so well that I actually use it. (I gave up on the fi5110EOX software and used 3rd party (VueScan) software instead). Put anything in the hopper, press scan on the front panel, and it selects b/w or color appropriately. I only use VueScan when I want to set scanning parameters very specifically - which is seldom.9) The front touch display panel is easy to use (and I'm hard to please). When I feed it something inappropriate (like an envelope with the flap unsealed), the scanner will finish scanning the it, then stop, give a warning, and provide a choice of continuing, or quitting (with the option to save the scan just done). Very convenient.10) Goes into sleep mode automatically, unlike the fi5110EOX which kept the scanning lamp on unless I closed the lid.11) I don't like the software's default choice of file naming (month-day-year). I would prefer year-month-day. A minor complaint.I would buy it again and definitely recommend it.
