I recently got this snow cone maker, and it's been a hit in my house! It's easy to use and makes perfectly shaved ice for slushies and frozen drinks. My kids love snow cones, I mean, who doesnt right? What i love about this more than how easy it is to use, is that I can make HEALTHY snow cones for the kids with much less sugars than the ones they sell on the streets. What I've realized is that i can use my juicer to make me healthy juices, and then use the same juicer to make them healthy snow cones ! its a win win !Plus this thing is easy to use, and its fantastic

One thing I discovered about this is that the ice can melt pretty quickly while you're trying to make enough to serve. If you freeze a shallow bowl ahead of time and put it under the ice cruncher you'll keep it from melting. It also makes it a lot easier to scoop out when you're ready. You won't have to chase the shaved ice around with the scoop.This is noisy, but I don't see a way around that.We got this as a second machine because when we have parties you'll have a line waiting for their turn and they get frustrated when it's too long of a wait.It makes a nice size shave. The reuseable cups are also nice to save on buying refill papers over and over again. But you lose some of the authentic feel by using those cups.It's a pretty nice unit. But it seems expensive for the size and quality. I would think around $50 would be the value of this.Kids sure do have fun when we make snow cones, though so it's nice to have this verses the hand cranked one we used for many years.

Snow Cone Maker, Tabletop Shaved Ice Machine for Slushies & Frozen Drinks - it takes too long to shave the ice and a lot starts melting but you might be able to get 1 or 2 cones out of it but it needs something to make the temperature stay at cooler temps especially if you pay that much for something like this, it's definitely not worth the price.

Having broken my old snow cone maker, I was really happy when I got this. It does take some time to actually shave enough ice, but it's definitely worth it. It's really simple to use and my kids love it.

I looks beautiful, I just wish it worked as well. It's easy to set up, but that's about it. The oblong ice cubes from my freezer barely work in this machine unless you really give it a good shake or overload the ice tray and smash it down while hoping it locks to run. What is pictured is after a solid 6 minutes of loading it, smashing down, loading it again, all while the ice that is shaved is melting. There's no possible way to shave as much ice into that reservoir as it could hold. Especially not while that reservoir isn't temperature controlled.While it doesn't work, it's at least relatively easy to clean. Do yourself a favor and stay away from this one or use a different cube other than the one from your refrigerator.
