My teenage daughter bought herself a vintage typewriter and was really happy just to have it almost as a decorative piece. I found the typewriter ribbons and she was thrilled to be able to actually type on it. I was pretty surprised to be able to find them at all, so go Amazon!

Highly recommend this product. The size matched the description, and it appeared that I got just enough ink on my fingers when installing. Hence, I got exactly what I was looking for. Nothing beats a new ribbon and I will buy more of this product.Thanks Gents!

These are nice ribbons, plenty of ink, and they're a good value. But, the only thing they lack are grommets on either end of the ribbon. Grommets help the typewriter's reverse mechanism to work, otherwise, you will just have to install some yourself (six inches from each end of the ribbon) or just be aware of when the ribbon is about to run out on one spool so you can reverse it manually yourself.

I docked a star because the red ribbon was wound upside down for my Galaxie Twelve. I was able to just wind it backwards to the other spool and now it works fine.

My machine was from the 50's the spools were bigger than mine. So I threaded the new ribbon onto the old spools. Works perfectly.

I didn't expect that the print would be so faded. The ink is quite dry despite the product being sealed in cellophane. Either it wasn't manufactured well from the start or it dried out in the package. Will definitely try another brand next time.

Good ribbon, works exactly as it should.The plastic spools fit fine on an old 5A Sterling, with a little bit of wiggle/play.If you have your original metal spools, DO NOT throw them away. They’re reusable and no longer made. Just wind your new ribbon onto the spools.Good product.

I got this for an older-than-God Royal typewriter. Debated since July on what kind of typewriter ribbon I needed, seriously. I wanted the black and red but wasn't sure my typewriter could use it. This product was great because if the black and red didn't work I had the black as a back up. I agonized way too much over this. Both work great.I used this YouTube video for instructions on how to install the ribbon and all other functions of my ancient beast of a writing implement. http://youtu.be/_PDCd_pt70wIf you can get over the fact that the kid teaching it is just out of diapers its a great video. The best I found and I looked for hours.
