The tarp was pretty thin, but it held up. I bought two of these if the wind is blowing, it makes a very difficult.

I should have purchased one of these years ago. You do have to bolt some parts together and bolt on the tarp piece. It does come with the tools you need. I put it together by myself in like 15 minutes. I needed this tool for a carport roof and a gazebo roof. It does leave an inch or so on the roof, but I like that because it doesn’t damage the roof and my main concern is the weight of the snow. I had about 12 inches of snow on the roof, I ran tool up and it all came down the tarp and just a small amount on the roof.So much easier than getting out a ladder and getting on the to shovel.I love it!!!

This contraption is useless for our roof as it only cuts through the first foot or two from the edge and then is so light it just rolls on top the rest never breaking through any snow. You would need a VERY steep pitch for this to work. A waste of money and time

Works well for step roofs. Doesn't really work on flatter roofs that well. Kinda flimsy.

I got this to get the snow off a carport that’s maybe a 3/12 or 4/12 pitch the snow does not slide off at this pitch I’m sure it will work with a steeper roof but didn’t work very good for me.
