It smoothly slices soft cheese and hard cheeses with ease. The stainless steel makes for quick and simple cleaning. Extra cutting wires are provided, too. We’re very pleased with this small cheese slicer.

cutter is basically unstable and does not stay in place while cutting a large block of cheese. Block of cheese moves while the wire comes through making a mess.I'm returning but should not have to return a defective product.

This us so much easier than just trying to plow a butcher knife or other knife blade through a brick of cold cheese. I have had a great experience with this slicer so far. Each cut through typical, off the shelf, refrigerated brick cheese was straight and clean. The wire seldom built up with cheese remnants, and if it did all it took was a quick rub with a paper towel to clean it again.As shown, replacement cutting wires are included. I haven’t had to change a wire yet, but the online information in the ad seems to clearly show how easy it is. I was able to quickly cut slices as thin as 1/8", one after another, and could get down to 1/16" thick if I took my time.Overall, this is light weight, but the cutting bed is rigid and easy to clean. It is compact enough to store in one of out larger utensil drawers. I’m perfectly happy with how well it is working and like how compact it is.
