Worked as advertised for an older MacBook that did not support audio over MDP to HDMI connector. Had it shipped to a non-technical person and it was pretty much plug and play.

I ordered this product to connect an HDMI cable to my laptop so I could enjoy my video library more easily. This product was defective upon arrival, nor did it come with an HDMI cable. In this companies defense, they didn't advertise that a cable came with their product. Buyer beware, this product more than likely worked just fine upon leaving the warehouse, but it was poorly packaged and was more than likely damaged enroute to my house.

I've had it for less than a year and rarely used it. After using it about twice I tried to use it after about 3 or 4 months and it no longer worked. The indicator light no longer lit up when plugged into the computers. It worked great and did the job when it was working but now I have a $50 piece of junk since it no longer works and it stopped working after the return date.Not happy with this product. I would NOT recommend buying this product.

In just a month this thing stopped working.I have a MPB 13 inch mid 2009 btw.There is small indicator light on the device as well that would not come on whatever I might do.I tried re-plugging all the way.

This works like a charm! It was the cheapest adapter I could find and it does not disappoint. I did not even have to mess with any settings or software.
