Very sticky and arrived dirty. There was literally black residue all over them fresh out of the package. I tried it on a bowl, and they are very hard to put on. The bowl almost went flying several times. These definitely don't go on as easy as advertised.

➡️ Health & Safety Considerations: Safer Than Plastic Wrap, but Silicone Has LimitsI was excited to try the Stasher Silicone Stretch Lids on Amazon because reducing plastic wrap in my kitchen is a big priority. these lids do a fantastic job of creating an airtight seal over bowls and containers. The platinum-grade silicone is definitely a safer choice than plastic wrap, as it’s free from BPA, BPS, lead, and latex, which is great for anyone avoiding endocrine-disrupting chemicals. That said, silicone isn’t invincible. Studies show that at high temperatures, especially when in contact with oily or fatty foods, silicone can still leach siloxanes and other compounds, particularly if the silicone is lower grade or scratched over time. While Stasher uses higher quality platinum silicone, I’d personally avoid using these in the oven or microwave with high-fat items (like cheese, meats, or oils) just to stay on the safer side, especially if you’re planning to reuse them long-term.➡️ ♻️ Environmental Impact: Big Win for Reducing Plastic, but Not Zero-WasteThese lids are definitely a step up from single-use plastic wrap or bags, and I appreciate that they’re durable, dishwasher-safe, and help reduce hundreds of pieces of plastic waste per year. That said, silicone itself is not biodegradable or compostable, it’s still a synthetic product that will eventually go to landfill. For the average kitchen, though, they’re a much lower-waste alternative compared to cling wrap or disposable bags.➡️ 💲 Price & Comparison to Similar Products on AmazonAt around $35 for the 4-pack on Amazon, these are on the pricier side compared to generic silicone stretch lids on Amazon, which can be as low as $12 for a similar set. However, Stasher wins on material quality, thickness, and durability, plus, their full-perimeter pull tabs make them much easier to use compared to the cheaper brands, which often tear or lose stretch quickly.➡️ 🥗 Performance & Usability: Grippy and Versatile, but Can Be Slippery on GlassI found the lids really easy to stretch and seal over various bowls, but they do tend to slide a bit when used on smooth glass containers or if your hands are greasy. You’ll get the best seal if the surface is bone dry and the lid is stretched evenly. Over time, silicone can also absorb odors (especially if used on pungent foods like onions or garlic), so I recommend hand washing with baking soda or vinegar periodically to keep them fresh.‼️ All in all, Stasher’s Silicone Lids on Amazon are a great upgrade for anyone serious about ditching plastic wrap, but be mindful of their limits with hot, greasy foods and know they aren’t truly zero-waste, they’re just a much safer, lower-waste choice than plastic. They also come in a good amount of sizes

These stasher lids are really neat! A great alternative to plastic wrap or other single use items. They are very durable and thick - great for keeping everything fresh. When cleaning however, they get left with a cloudy appearance and can stain easily which is offputting. They are simple to use and a wonderful bargain compared to buying plastic wrap over and over again!

This is a convenient pack of 4 various sized transparant stretch lids which are a great alternative to one-time use plastic bags or wrap. I have used these lids to cover, store and and reheat leftovers without the need to transfer the contents from one plate to a pot to another plate for serving - it is both a time saver and convenient to use. The lids can be hand washed or placed in the dishwasher and is easy to clean. Although this is adverstised as sous-vide ready, I believe this is meant for the silicone resusable food storage bags - unless you intend on using canning jars or a pyrex casserole dish instead of vacuum bag? All said, a product of this type should be the first option instead of a one-time use plastic bag or wrap and I hope to see more widespread adoption because it just works!

Like many others, I have a lot of Tupperware lids, a few bowls, and most of my bowls are without a matching lid, they have all managed to disappear. So, I tried these covers out. I put the 6.5 inch one on my bowl that was about 8 1/4 inches across. It took a bit to get it on the first time, and a little easier the second time (maybe I found an easier way to put it on). It fit and you could tap it with your finger and it sounded like a drum. Very tight, but in no danger of coming off on its own. I poured in some chunky soup and put it in the micro. The food started to pop a few times and I opened the micro to check on it. The cover was only about halfway on. Well, so much for that. I put it in the dishwasher and it came out looking like new. So, for me, these will be great additions to putting a cover on some bowls that have no lid. However, they will not be going in the microwave anytime soon.

These a good quality and well made. I trust the Stasher name brand over other silicone manufacturers. There are so many silicone products out there now, I'm worried about the quality and toxicity of them. Stasher is a bigger name brand so I trust that they are producing food grade silicone. And yes I checked their website to make sure! Their website FAQ section states: "products are made with platinum, food-grade silicone and meet safety standards for food products from the FDA and EU regulators." These lids work great as long as your bowl is the right size for it. Obviously, they're not one size fits all and they couldn't possibly fit every bowl. But they fit enough of my bowls that I am pleased. I also have a few Lock N Lock bowls that the lids broke. The tabs are plastic and after awhile the tabs broke, making the lids useless. These lids fit my glass bowls with missing lids. So now I am so glad I never threw away my lock n lock glass containers, lol.
