It is a loud bell (considering its rather small size), though I wouldn't call it 'super' loud. The sound is alright, nothing outstanding but that really depends on your usage. As a "Tibetan Bell" I might give it a pass, as a bell to get someones attention, good choice. So it really depends. The color of the bell and the pattern on it, make it look quite nice.

This is a very pretty bell with excellent sound quality. I put it to good use on my birthday when demanding others attend to my needs. I'm sure it would work for a myriad of more respectable things, but I'm only qualified to comment on my own ridiculousness. With that said, anyone in the market for an attractive bell should find this one quite satisfactory.

Nice smaller version of a Tibetan-style prayer bell.Chinese graphics, on a solid, small cooper-alloy bell.Loud for its size. Good tone. Clean appearance.Mutli-purpose, of course, so it can fill many signaling functions.

This bell comes in a box, and within that it is wrapped in bubble wrap and the clapper is enclosed in bubble wrap as well separately. So even if the box gets jostled some (if this is a gift), hopefully they will not be able to hear it make any noise. There is a bit on the very top of the bell with a hole opening so that you can add a piece of ribbon there or hang it up, too.I'm not certain what type of metal this is, but it IS solid metal (the product page says bronze) so it has a little bit of heft to it (this will help keep it upright of course). It is antique bronze-colored. All of the 'etchings' you see on the product page are actually textured on the bell. They're not just drawings on there or anything. It's genuinely beautiful. Also, the texture makes this bell look and feel like it is not only a distinctive piece, but that it's such good quality as to be expensive.The great part though? It's not expensive, really. Currently it is priced at just under $15, and right now has a coupon with that as well bringing the price down some from that.One sad part for me. The product page said, "Super Loud Solid Brass Hand Call Bell for Ringing at Wedding, New Style Hand Bells for Seniors Bedside, Teacher Classroom Bell, Dinner Bell, Tibetan Bells, Gift for Bedridden Mom..." Bedridden Mom. I'm afraid that I was not feeling well today so I was bedridden and I am definitely a Mom. So I rang the bell and my husband refused to be called by the bell. Either my bell or my husband might be defective? haha kidding!I actually got this to use in my schoolhouse for my kiddos to come in after recess. It works for that as it is VERY loud. Quite happy with that. And so, beautiful tintinnabulation (ringing of the bells)!Overall it's a beautiful piece. It was pretty inexpensive for a solid metal bell. It has gorgeous etchings on it. And it's loud! I'm very happy with this, and highly recommend it!
