The Sure Fire X300U is one of the most widely-issued weapon lights in special operations and law enforcement units. And for good reason. It boasts an impressive track record, is nearly indestructible, and has improved with the times at a steady pace. The current X300U can put out 1000 lumens for 1.25 hours on two CR123A batteries. The beam is tight with a focused center and spill on the edges. This means the light can be used at distance very nicely. Activating the X300 Ultra is done via intuitive, ambidextrous switches—now wider and shorter for improved ergonomics—at the rear of the body. Simply press the switch on either side for momentary-on activation or flip up or down for constant-on activation.

Put this on my Bul Armory TacPro 4.5 2011, this is a very rugged light, great illumination. I like to use the front edge of the trigger guard with my support hand to mitigate recoil, adding any light to a pistol removes that ability. I like the stiffness of the light activation paddle for this, such that it allows me to use my support hand-thumb to mitigate muzzle flip without activating the light. Hence, reducing the chance of a WhiteLight ND. Great product from SureFire as always. I own many SureFire weapons lights and muzzle devices.The only complaint I have is the 100 batteries you're forced to buy with the product. I couldn't find it without 12 batteries, I'm not going to dock a star for that though-it has no bearing on the function of the light.
